More sulbime than Shujaat for sure. And Darbari is a majestic Raga from th old Darbars (kings courts). This is no insult to Shujaat, but a compliment to her. Why walk on egg-shells when speaking of art. The truth is she sounds more fluid.

I agree with you that this is a very beautiful Darbari of exceptional quality. But please do not compare Ustad Shujaat Khan and his disciple. See the recent posting of a Bihag by Ustadji. Mashallah!!

Majestic Darbari - My family in erstwhile East Bengal promoted masters like Ustad Inayat Khan saheb and generations after him. I see you are graced by them and the music goddess. Very singing Darbari worthy of that gharana. Even Shujaat Khan a master in his own right do not have this poise and continuity i hear her

Mr Dildiwana I havent seen all the sitar videos on youtube so I cannot confirm your conclusion - but one thing is sure this is a great lesson in sitar technique and in Darbari as well. And musically I would say it is perfect on its own. Have you seen the new videos of Ustad Vilayat Khan

Awesome and surprisingly (where did she come from?) immense Darbari. The melodious meends are incredibly flowing. A rare gem. Very refined, and arguably one of the finest sitar pieces on youtube. Hope there is more.
