  • Hey, you been given some good feed back and its pretty spot on, I'm thinking about running some Audi/Angel Eyes type lights on my bike. Can I tie those lights to my running lights such as the running turn signal. Can I run extra lights off that one source(the running turn signal)?

  • @MrFaberjr

Audi lights only have a Neg and Positive wire. So yes you can. Can make them

solid on when you cut the bike on, by switch or remote. Or you can tie them

into your Pos and Neg wires of the signals. You u know how to wire relays, You can make them running and flashers!

  • @rawgadgets

Thanks, for infor and the timely response, I really appreciate it. One last thing to pick your brain about....

I haven't personally wired any relays, but I've seen a few wiring diagrams. I'm all ears if you got any pointers. Also, I was wondering if you think I need drop fuse in the line as some added precaution?

  • @MrFaberjr

You should be ok if adding a couple of lights. Anything more serious

then we would adjust the amperage of the fuse! Good Luck

  • i have cbr f4i. the factory flasher have 3 wires but my flushmounts came with only 2. after installation, the flashers work fine except for the fact that beside my speedometer, the turn signal lights stay on. They weren't on with the factory. Anyone can help me out here?

  • @mohammedali

Ok....The 3 wires were (Gnd, Runner, Signal). You have the running light tied

in, instead of the signal. The hot wire of the 2 connected need to be removed.

Connect the one you didnt use up. Nevertheless....start with the wire you no is

ground....put it aside. Then put the signal on for the side.....use a test light to

touch the 2 wires left.....use wire that flash the light!

  • @rawgadgets ok i will try it! thanks a lot for the reply!

  • @SportsSavage

    Every bike is different.

  • how about on a 2004 zx12

  • Hey man, I want to say thanks for the vids. Your intergrated tail light video helped me out alot when installing mine. With that being said. I notice you wired the fluchmount to the cut wire behind the harnass. I only have 2 wires running from the flushmount it's self. A yellow wire and a black wire. They arn't loose; they have connection clamp ends on them. So do I cut and wire black to black behind the harnass?

  • @thenewprint

Black should be ground, but not in all cases. Can cut, after the plug, leading from the old light.

This will allow you to still unplug and play the light when needed, just as the original.

I show different ways, such as soldering for technics for other bonding purposes. Can put

the turn signals on, pre-touch the wires to see if flash correct. No harm will do if backwards, just wont work.

  • I've got the exact same R6 color and all.

  • good work Gadget. two questions: can the connector from the factory turn signal be cut off and wired to the flush mounts and re-used so that I'm not splicing the wire on the factory harness on the bike? And the flush mounts seemed to blink faster than the factory turn signals, can this be corrected?

  • @reignman2981

Yeah you can cut the factory harness and reuse! You have to put resistors(Come with the new light) in line with the positive wire of the turn signal.

  • Wish I had of seen this vid before doing my flush signals took me abit of time to suss out how to get the fairing off.My signals are smoked and seem to be abit more flush check it out on my channel. Thanks for the tips keep up the good work. animal100000 England.

  • I'm not sure if the person fixing the bike is the same person answering the comments but when I get my bike, I'm making sure I give the service to you. You seem like a really nice guy with good work ethics. And a gangsta mother fucker when you're not working. One love.

  • @hockeypark First, thank you for a positive, keepin it real comment. You fully correct, I love what I do, dont mind teaching, ect. From DC, raised in MD. Bring me your bike and I will bang it out, makin your friends drull, and wanting to come! You have a lot of haters out here, instead of correcting one, who MIGHT be wrong, or can do something another way, they just make childish comments, instead of doing they own channel! Peace and love my friend, waitin on your bike! Gadget
  • What is the name of the brand of light? I'm sorry but I couldn't quite make it out. Thanks for the video though; all of your vids are very clear and helpful.

  • @SgtDICTION

"Gregg Customs" make nice flush mounts. Thanks!

  • @rawgadgets Wow you are not kidding. They have some nice stuff! I really like their r6 fender eliminator.

  • House music!! Good tutorial man!!! Thanks for your help!!

Ps the ground is the negative on the battery correct? Ow and just curious what would happen if you mixed the ground up? Will it blow up the light? much thanks in advance

  • @supaflyindo

Yeah ground is the Neg, of the Battery. Mix the ground with what? Grounds can

go together, sometimes good to isolate. If just putting on LED lights, run

the ground straight to the battery. Ground for the turn signals should be with in

the same wires from the old(original) turn signals. Nothing should be going

    to the battery?

  • @GibsonElectricI

Some would be hard to see depending on the brightness/quality of the light/LED. The factory one stick out and point forward for that reason, but of course you have those who like to stream line the bike. For strict safety i would leave the factory ones on!

  • @ATR831 hey, the led lights that i got only have 2 wires red and black, i put them on but the turning signals dont stay on like the originals, is there any way i can make them stay on all the time like the factory ones or do i have to get the led lights that comes with 3 wires? if so can you let me know where to buy the ones that comes with the 3 wires?

  • @MrJosej2000

You have to check with the shop selling the turn signals. Some may sell both types for the Yamaha. Some will eliminate the running light, while some brands will give you both the running and signal with in the light.

  • hey i have flushmounts on my 09 r6 but they didnt come with the marker wire they only came with the two for the turning signal so now all my turning signals dont stay on and when i use them they flash very fast, if i buy the flasher relay will this fix my problem?

  • @ATR831

I believe they have flash relays, they also have resistors that you can get. Most bike shops online that sell tail lights, sell the resistors or both.

I don't mind the fast flash, it kinda gets your attention better then the slow flash, my opinion.

  • i have a 2002 r6 which i bought used from an owner who had after market turn signals installed. My left signal just went out and i have no clue on how to change it, can you help me out?

  • @MICHOACANO1000

You should be able to take this video to give you an idea on how to take the front panels apart, which is first. Once the panel is apart you can see how the light is mounted. Remove the screws on the side the light is out, as you do, you will start to see how the bike comes apart.

  • what was the website called??

  • HighTechSpeed

  • insted of cutting the wire coming from the bike cant i cut the wire to the old turn signal and wire it up that way?

  • Cut the stock connectors off and reuse them, or good luck getting the fairings off next time

  • Comment removed

  • Really Great Info!!!!!!!!!Thx

  • Sup all! I have the '09 R6. The factory wires have 3 wires and the flush mount I got only have 2. Need help wiring. Thanks!

  • the 3rd wire is the marker wire, you dont have to have this guy was saying, but i dont know lol

  • I would just cut the stock connectors and solder them with the flushies instead of having a bunch of wires just hanging inside your fairings. Wire them together with no connector and how the hell are you supposed to get them off without cutting them?

i would only use this technique if it didnt have any stock connectors...

    good noob tutorial tho.

    Heat shrink should

  • it's so much easier to just wire them to the connectors that come with the bike. then you can easily remove them if you need to... there's really no reason not to use the stock connectors, especially if you're doing it professionally.

  • why would u hard wire it directly to the bike? that's ridiculous. if u splice the new flush mount wires with the oem connector from the original signal, it will be easily removable. also, u can solder and shrink tube the wires to ensure the best connection and no less chance of corrosion. amateurs.

  • i cant remove that thing from my 2008 r6...is different from the 06,07...

  • My english is not verry good, can u say again what is the name of the web site. it is k motorsport??? Thank u

  • do you glue them down? my flush mounts dont have a mounting screw or anything..

  • Where did you get these turn signals? I couldn't make out what you were saying on the video. Thanks!

  • Thanks!! this video really helped me out :)

  • is there anything special you would have to do for a 2002 r6? i'm looking to replace mine, but i don't have the true flush ones i have the signals that stick out a little bit like u said in the video

  • great video. i have no expirience working on bikes and i was able to do both intergrated tail light and flushmount install on my R6Thanks alot. maybe you could do more vids on a R6 in the future like exhaust & rear sets.

  • Great teaching video. I left the factory connector on though to make it look cleaner.

  • Thanks for all the positive replies, check out our other videos when you get a chance!

  • Great teaching video!

  • Good vid on this man I got the lockheard phillips flushmounts on my 50th r6. Just bought a hobtodies undertail, maby you could do a segment on that?

  • Thanks my friend, undertails arent that bad, when no cutting is envolved! We have more videos coming. Run my shop alone when my partner handles field work, so sorry for late replies, but regrouping!

    Gadget

  • Would have been good to use the factory connector off the removed signal light. That way when removing the fairings in the future it can be disconnected with out cutting the wires. Good install vid though.

  • You are correct, some people may not have the original connector on there. We trying to show multiple ways of doing some installs. But thanks for your comment, respect all comments.
