The reason BDawk left in the 1st place is because of the front office was too cheap. I have liked the Eagles ever since 2004. That is not a long time as an Eagles fan,but in that short time i have realized how much Dawkins means to the Eagles.Every year he is the 1 player that we know will show up and give it his all. He is the emotional leader of the defense and the team. He sets the tone for our defense and determines how well our defense is going to play.He is one of the best players in the history of the Eagles franchise.For this franchise to let him go is a disgrace.Nufsaid

i'm not an eagles fan but i'm a huge dawkins and what they did to him was really fucked up the eagles can't keep a great player no matter how hard they try and dawkins was their best. i saw the dawkins interview when he couldn't finish it and he started crying and i felt terrible. what a stab in the back. they won't have a leader like that again.

The reason BDawk left in the 1st place is because of the front office was too cheap. Even though he wanted 2 years,they would only keep him for 1.We all know that it's sad that BDawk left,but he gave all his heart for 13 years straigt,every year,every game.He led the defense and pumped everyone up be4 the game.But the front office(Andy Reid,Jeff Lurey,etc.)is the only reason anyone left.But we all should give the best of luck to BDawk in Denver and thank him for all his years here in Philly.

smartass2st, I agree with you my man. I too am a life long die hard Philly fan born and raised right in the heart of South Philly. But we can't just not show up and not support our team anymore, what kind of message would that be sending? Yes, were all mad and upset but we have to support the guys we have out there representing our city now, and show them the kind of support we showed Brian Dawkins. The team wasn't built around one player, so let's show everyone this team has plenty more to it.

I've made even better arguments about why Philly fans should revolt. 38-40 million under the cap in a city like Philly. They could have parted with the 3 million it would have taken to keep Dawkins. How does the team with what Forbes determined has the most loyal fans in the country not spend up to the cap? AND add to that they RAISED SEASON TICKET PRICES. How much can the owners abuse the fans?

How weird is it gonna be to watch the Eagles now? Dawkins gave his heart, soul, blood, sweat and tears for this organization and they couldnt give him 2.2 million dollars of 48 million that is available. Lesson here is no matter what your replaceable at least on the field but i, as a shameful Eagles fan, will always remember #20. No one ever deserves to wear that number. Here's whats gonna happen. The same way Duce Staley did, B-Dawk will come back to the Eagles and have a short retirement party at the Linc. I hope that he comes back to Philly to play, though. He made my favorite AFC team Denver, so I am still going to watch him.
