The fighter jocks won't let go easily! I agree that this is the future especially after I watched the NASA highly agile robot tester! Sustained 22G turns! Still - lots of issues to work out, money, backing (loss of jobs at all the facilities making jock jets)plus kill authority, jamming, WEATHER. But it'll come. It just makes too much sense.
i like the f-23 which was never built, but looked space aged! the reason the f22 won out was because the f23 didn't have super cruise. but it would have been a huge leap forward in fighter design. no tails! the tail and the rear stabilizers were one unit!
this isn't impressive at all. not only did it not cross above 700mb, but UAV's and U2's are extremely seceptible to cross winds and low level wind shear. from a meteorological stand point, conditions need to be clear blue and 22.
By the way, I think we can be assured that Boeing, Northrop, and any others that make UCAVs, know the challenges facing them, and know how to develope ways to overcome such challenges. They have a lot of experience backing them up.
Go to the DARPA web site for additional more up to date X-45 & X-47B System videos. These systems are less expensive than F-22 or F-35 & mean fewer allied casualties! The future is now!
Thats just the first versian trust me its already out dated. Boeing and northrup gruman are curently working on the third generation of unmaned combat aircraft and those will without doubt replace real pilots in the future.
do anyone know what kinda antenna will be used in ucav and how ucav communicates with ground control and satellite?
also secure communication?

Isn't impressive to you, because it doesn't have Germans flying them. Get over yourself. ;)
