my droid 2 global got 30fps on nenamark, and 2400 on quadrant, no overclocking and with team diffuse's fission rom, which is basically a vanilla android with no mods. gears gives me 70fps, and linpack gives me 16.5 MFLOPS

@rusty815 I'm sure a droid x running on froyo is similar don't forget that the only difference between the X and 2 global is that the 2 global uses an overclocked version of the processor in the droid x. All the hardware components between the droid x and 2 global are exactly the same.

The reason the droids got so low in the linpack score is becasue there is a known issue with linpack and Omap processors.

The HTC Desire Z aka G2 rapes the Galaxy S... it finished Quadrant Standard at 1541 while the Galaxy finished at 893. The G2 also finishes the Neocore Benchmark at 57.4 FPS while the Galaxy S finishes with 55 FPS. The G2 does this with an underclocked Snapdragon set at 800MHZ. The Scorpion processor is more efficient at 800. The HTC Desire Z is the new standard and the most powerful phone available at the momemt.

Omg my Galaxy S got 45.2 fps on the Nena benchmark, 2250 on quadrant and 8.113 Mflops on linpack. And that using 2.1 Eclair JM8 + OCLF 2.1+ XD

The Iphone 4 is a great phone, the antenna issue has been bloated by the media, and the haters are just jealous becuase they never got an iphone when it first came out and so they are natural haters.

This isn't to say the Droid X isn't just as good or even better. But Apple is a reliable company the Iphone has proved itself over and over again. So if you want to swear and call 30 million people names, thats fine. But at the end of the day the Iphone 4 is a solid fun smartphone.

However in this video, does it seem to you that even though it's very apparent the Droid has smoother video and you can notice the faster frame rate, but doesn't it's colors look sort of more washed out than the other 2 phones, or not as bright, something? Honestly the only benchmark that matters here is the GPU test and as we see the droid x is best. The nexus one however holds its own being 6 months old. yes it has a faster OS, but thats the benefit of having the N1, we get updates quick, So regardless of anything barely beating it, the n1 will be the first to get Gingerbread and will once again probably become the fastest again. (besides the GPU)

Nexus one wins now, Droid X tomorrow, and N1, again with Gingerbread.
