hey, i changed the driver to low latency generic driver, and thats works great for cubase, but it stops all of my other sound from coming out, until i clsoe cubase then close and reopen the program i want sound to come from eg itunes or youtube. Any ideas?

@TheRealZachonexIsFTW no i still havent dound a fix, though i think it may be cos my audio out is through my usb mixer, so its possible there may be a conflict between the mixers driver and cubase, but it still seems odd >.<

@Littleoli19 some of the instruments I have are because I install them on my computer before the cubase 5 tutorial. The reason you only have grove Agent is because you didn't complete the install for cubase 5 vst

you dont haulf to exit out if you go to vst connections , and set up the left and right input and outputputs from there

for all of you having sound problems out of cubase you can try what i did to get my sound back... in the startbar search type sound and look for "change sound card settings" or something along the lines... find and right click on your speakers, go to properties, got to levels, and unmute it... hope that helps

@ihategiovannyreyes if you are in cubase and using the asia4all you are not going to hear anything from your browser are anything that uses audio because you only have one audio sound card.

I see you have a lot of requests and issues to answer. Here are mine.

1. I do not have sound

2. I do not see my midi connection when I open my Asiov2 from my task bar as I do when I'm in FL Studio.

3. When Cubase starts, is says "There is no disk in drive A"

4. Also upon startup, it says I'm not registered and will be limited to use--Register Now--Already Registered--Remind me Later

5. Computer is friggin RIDICULOUSLY SLOW! I know that's not your problem, but can you give me some solutions?

@SkankinSoldier09 Those VSTis that you listed are what cubase comes with. All the other instruments in that large list at 1:43 he downloaded as separate VSTis. There are a large range of free VSTis you can download around the internet, such as KVR DSK instruments (like brass and string sections, acoustic and electric guitars and choirs). Do some searching and download and install some free VSTis that you like. Copy the DLL file they come with to the default DLL folder that Cubase is directed to.

You do not need to use 'Purity', he only used that as an example. There are a large range of free VSTis you can download around the internet. Do some searching and download and install some free VSTis that you like. Copy the DLL file they come with to the default DLL folder that Cubase is directed to, restart Cubase, and then you should be good.

@Midimania100 cool, i thought it didnt install correctly cus it looks like ive only got like 3 plugins. also, whenever i open cubase it says something like you dont have blah blah driver or something, fuck knows what thats about, i press cancel about 4 times and it then opens the program, do u have the same problem or is that just me? :/

@MistaMase102 No lol it's just you. Try googling the key words or first line in the error and seeing if there are any ways to fix it (remember to include 'cubase' in the search). Also try reinstalling it completely if that doesn't work. If it works perfectly fine after a bit of clicking on the cancel button though it shouldn't be too much of a hassle =)

As for the plugins, it should be fine - download a few free VSTis and see if they work =)

@Midimania100 cheers, i fixed it now so its all good, i just disabled the drivers on my pc that were causing the problem, for some reason cubase had a problem with them or something lol

Hi, problem - Recently we recorded music, but wanted each instrument separately. We 1st started to record guitar on audio 1 mono which sounded fine when played back. Then we did vocals on audio 2 mono. However when we played back the vocals they could hardly be heard and how much we tried to make it louder, it wouldn't. The guitar would always overtop it. So we tried again by opening a new project, but did it vise versa -but then the guitar for the audio 2 mono, was quieter than audio 1. pl help
