Wow, interesting stuff here! Thanx! Looks a bit dangerous but the comment here about running a propane stove off of it is interesting. Probably better to run such a stove outside. Probably makes alot of CO, but maybe not.. keep testing everyone and be careful! Thanx for the inspiration! Can you let the woodgas sit in the balloon for a period of time and then use it? I wonder if it somehow breaks down and loses its BTU potential over time?

Wouldnt the motor running keep you awake? Wouldnt the mattress become uncomfortable as it was deflated by the motor? I think I will stick with air in my mattress when I go camping.

@ChrisPCrunchy Well, no, first you have to sleep with great ear plugs. Then what you do is run two air mattresses on top of one another and as one is being deflated by the engine, you fill the other one with the exhaust from the engine. Your bed will be warm and toasty too :)
