ok well this is the jam i love it in every way and it reminds me of my dad liek itssofiesukas said chillen with with pops listen to the oldies and the oldschool car rip ron marquez
Great song & a really nice car. (1954 Bel Air) My Dad had one of these. The radio in that car was incredible. On a clear night we could pick up stations from St. Louis & we lived in Eastern Pa at the time. (1964) It was a fantastic car in every way. They just don't make cars or music like this anymore. Thanks for posting!
I just had the MISERABLE misfortune to stumble on a version of this classic Soul side by someone called Bashy, who has taken it on himself to speed it up 'chipmunks style' and then impress his half-baked rap philosophy over it, for which he should be taken out and hung from the nearest lampost. 'Nuff said.
Actually its a 1953 Chevy and the recording was released in 1968, so it would be 15 years older than the song, The functional equivalent would be using a 1946 Ford to represent a Beatles song released in 1964.

So it is, but the general point remains. By the way, your caps lock key is stuck.

Beautiful song and performance by the great Barbara Lynn, but what's the Cadillac got to do with anything?

@PainfulLove
All those GM cars look the same to me.
Not quite the same time period. I believe the song is from the middle to late 60s and the car looks a good ten years older than that.

@keithsmd lol true, but they were still popular around that time, and associated with music similar to this.
