Watched this last night at fillmsi.co.cc, it was a really great film. i didnt excpect it to be it had some great effects and some really great twists. gives a few shocks and i think its really cleverly done.

This movie is about lonelyness and being left behind and not suitable for the Hollywood blockbuster generation that was raised on a steady diet of Spielberg and Lucas. They never learned to understand reality.

My wife and I just saw this film tonight. All the films that I have seen by Mike Leigh are brilliant, sometimes they are exceptional - this film is one of those times. Everyone in it is incredable and the people they play are people I know or know off. Great films like this make me look back at my own life and reflect. Can't wait to buy it on DVD and study it.
i think 2 hours and 10 minutes of it was too long, if it were a french or spanish film it would be much easier to take it, this way it's just about distanced friends, family centrism, alienation, too much of endless frenetic monologues by the character mary, and the aloofness of the character gerri is frightening, anyhow, i still have a major headache after watching this film, and it's been nearly 6 hours since i've seen it.. wouldn't see again

What is it with modern cinema goers, unless the film has 200 explosions a minute, a body count that makes the bubonic plague look lame and cgi oozing from every orifice then it's branded as shit ? This is an excellent film well directed, the acting is superb throughout, a real gem !
To everyone calling this movie boring - It's a very subtle film, beautiful in it's nuances and truthful representation of the passing of time as people age. We're all so used to escapist cinema that we can't sit back and appreciate a simple, lovely and pure look at age and time.

All i have to say is WTF why would you make a movie about old peoples lives this is the most boring trailer i have ever seen i need some fire fights bombs going off people screaming then i might go see it!

I think the trailer is meant to be really boring becuase I think the movie is about a couple who had an unintersting life and they feel like they missed out...at least, thats the impression I get but I'm not sure.
