1/8th inch threaded rod at 8 points. with 2x2 skids and rails so the rods go top to bottom

  • @vrskytour Well i am attempting to make a boat of my own and i really liked your idea so i am trying to copy it. I am guessing you just had some washers a nuts on each end of the rod then?

  • @Cheeze0123 What did I use to hold it togethor?

1/8th inch threaded rod at 8 points. with 2x2 skids and rails so the rods go top to bottom

  • Respond to this video... What did I use to hold it togethor?

1/8th inch threaded rod at 8 points. with 2x2 skids and rails so the rods go top to bottom

  • What is under it to make it float?

  • A real fun video! but what did ya win? or were you just out the hundred bucks? now you just need a solar panel and a electronic cooler and you be set for the weikiva river home built race.

  • What is the motor that you use on that boat?

  • r u canadian ehy

  • I'm desperately clicking the subscribe button but it WON'T WORK :(

  • you should have made a tri hull impossible to tip, i could tip that boat without trying.

  • can i date your sister in the red sweater, i promise to have her back by 10 mwahahahahahahaha ^ ^

  • im guna build a boat similar to this, juss trying to find out the registration laws in CA, before i do....

    very nice build tho!

  • Nice boat...and the woman in the red sweater is a cutie!

  • It's perfect for sneaking around at night if you're a hooligan who likes to create mischief and shannanagins. lol Paint it black for stealth missions, it's already invisible to radar.

  • That sure sits low in the water :)

  • I wonder if you could build a simple skin on frame kayak or umiak for under $100. This hardly qualifies as a boat.

  • I didn't like it until I saw him chilling on it out on the lake. It'd be soooooooo good for just relaxing out on the lake in that lawn chair. Nice boat dude.

  • good boat to make is first you make wire frame of a boat

then rap it in duct tape i saw it on mythbusters :)

  • This boat looks stupid.

  • @logitechnc Its not a good thing to have such a closed mind....

  • boats frickin awsome

  • ive been wanting to make something like this.what is this made of could u like give me some plans or something?

  • COOL!

  • how much did it cost to build nice job

  • The contest was to use under one hundred dollars. 3 inch thick Certifoam at 4x8 feet is twenty per sheet and 2x2 inch rail top and bottom is connected with 12 inch threaded rod. The transom is one 2x4 sandwiched in there somehow.

  • o cool

  • @vrskytour what did u use to hold it together?

  • we made a nice boat out of bricks, but the sonofabicth sunk

  • check out our redneck jonboat we built

  • A+ on the Yamaha Virago in the background!

  • thats sweet! I never thought of just using layers of styrofoam! Ingenious!

Could you make somthing like this big enough to support a sail possibly?

Hey, seeing how you have a cut out rear for the motor, how feasable would it be to build a pedel power water wheel in the back for propulsion?

    SUPER COOL!

  • i thought it was verry creative and a neat boat good job on the steering nice video

  • $200 on the steering wheel, its a rim off a bike!

  • probably spent 20 hours and 200 dollars on that steering wheel you could have just got a foot steer trolling motor!!!

    but very cool

  • that kind of looks like a giant brushless motor

  • Ya. Whatever. I'm asking him cuz he made it and I want to be as close as his as possible. No offense.

  • DUUUUUDE!!! U GOTTA TELL HOW U MADE THAT!!!! im enetering a raft contest and that looks perfect. ill add a trolling motor after the race. since motos not allowed :P

  • I LIKE IT!!! That's reminds me of Lawnchair Larry's invention... Back in '82 this bloke named Larry attached a bunch of military surplus helium weather baloons to his lawnchair and floated off from his backyard lawn up and into the primary approach corridor of LAX international. He used a pellet rifle to pop baloons for his descent. True story, look it up.

  • cool but how?

  • lol, nice. how'd you fabricate that steering?

  • how about a chainsaw/lawnmower engine?

  • That is very cool nice job!!!

  • u should make a vid with the steering and stuff

  • fuck ya!!

    thats boss!!!

  • Pimp!

  • thats so sick how he got some foam

  • Good to see the family right behind you Mark Great video

    Amazing idea.

  • the blonde haired lady is gorgeous! and the boat is sweet! over all a humorous film lol

  • i am making a landing craft

  • you must have some intrestin lives...

  • im sorry but that music is very retarded

  • does anyone know where u can buy foam like that?

  • lowes or fleet farm

  • thanks

  • i wold throw in a 1 1/2 hp motor

  • How much duct tape was used in the construction? Heehee! A little refining of the hydrodynamios and you'll be flying. I am inspired.

  • lol definatly better than spendin 7-8 grand on a nice little boat lol!

  • thats funny as hell you even got your ole ma to have ago

  • That is cool. I doubt you are going to place Bass pro out of business but it is a boat. Get a solar panel and run solar most of the day enjoy the shade of the panel. Solar panels are pricy but you have already saved tons on the boat.

  • wow that is really awesome I see why it won a prize!

    wilz

  • the steering wheel is amazing!

  • KOOL!

  • aww your cruseing!
