Hello, I am considering grad school and Im very interested in compilers.
I understand that you are examining the nightly build of your compiler to previous versions. What sorts of things are you looking for? You said some of the benefit is with the application and some is with the architecture. Im guessing your architecture work is between the IR and the assembly. How much of those optimizations focus on a multi-core environment or is that actually an application level optimization?
