I'm so happy the live performances are back. I had gotten hooked on them and then they disappeared! I must say as a really big fan of Sharleen that the CD, after importing to USA, took awhile to grow on me after hearing her live. The studio just doesn't compare to Sharleen live. Love the CD now! Wish Sharleen would come see me in US. :)

This is pure northern soul,i used to go the wigan casino all nighters and this tune would have been up there with the best of them, her voice matches if not betters some of the ledgendary tamla motown singers what a driving beat if u can t dance to that then u can t dance at all. Amy and Duffy are good but sharleen shows them how far they got to go to put in a polished performance like that but that only comes with experience, just what the music industry needs less rap etc , go for it sharleen

As much as I love Amy, Duffy, et al...Sharleen is the real deal. What a voice, what a career. One of my fondest memories is seeing Texas on their greatest hits tours at Wembly Arena. What a night! The best concert I've ever attended.

Not only can Sharleen sing live better then most current acts including the bloody awful Amy Winehouse (which it is unfair to compare her to) anyone who has had the pleasure to see her proform live (with Texas) will tell you she is loved by the fans of which I am pleased to count myself. A talented singer, who deserves great success as a solo artist and I have no doubt we will be hearing a lot of good things about the solo album...I'll be buying it next week on it's release.

Amy Winehouse makes these type of songs sound good, Charlene has limited vocal range, and if you cant hear she is struggling with this, then you need your ears syringed. Charlene is so far up her own arse which is always the way with limited talent Scottish vocalists...Marti Pellow, Ray Wilson, Tam White, the list is endless. Nationalism and vocalists = Ego.Another thing Jules Holland is such an arse licker these days, rather than seek talent, he punts old shite, get a life loser!

Thanks for allowing me my opinion, I agree she is real, but not in the sense you mean, real as in just a pub singer...you know, gets through the songs but past that really boring. If Scottish and Irish singers stopped all the under-dog to England bullshit, their singers would stop this self loaving, which makes them try to sound American, which is just plain boring, I mean Marti Pellow honestly thinks he has a great soul singer and so does this sharlene!

Hmm Peppermils, lets educate you a little about real music shall we. Sharleen has been the lead singer of a little band called TEXAS since 86. Now this band thanks to her fantastic voice has managed to have 7 (I repeat 7) top ten albums. Their songs have features on the sound tracks of movies like Notting Hill, Bend it like Beckham, Titan AE (ok that ones not a good example) and even made into the theme for the old Ellen US comedy show. She deserves respect for having a real music history.
