No, there was a goon in the corp that got smartbombed. He tipped the other guy, in the geddon, off that they were clustered like that and then gave him a warpin.
He might've killed the mackinaws if he used EM smart bombs, since mackinaws have high explosive resists for shields, but low EM resists. Their armor has 10% Exp and 60% em, nut its paper thin. For retrievers, covetors, etc. it wouldn't matter either way.

They should have spread out hours earlier after I played billiard with the retrievers and Orcas, in my Megathron, the retrievers were going everywhere then :)
