The Reason i guess: Zabuza gave him somthing to live for he was the only one who wanted him, tool or not he was wanted thats all he ever wanted, i could go on for a while
he was even suprised when he noticed haku's sacrifice for zabuza... although my 3 favorite characters are Gaara, Kakashi, and Zabuza. they all rock ^_^
