@randomdd123 yeah they said you left atheism for Christianity in chat at SHockawenow . n e t So I already knew but thanks for letting us know you came to reason.
-just got my bike about 7 moths ago & i thought waving to other bikers was a normal or implied thing because i have yet to pass a single biker [not involved in a turn] who does not wave to me. haha
-i always wave back or wave first; whether it be a shared passion, a shared fight against four wheels, or just looking out for a fellow person, it's just a good thing to do in general i feel.
-who knows? maybe one day a rider will save my life by paying attention to something i don't see & warning me?
In Australia we don't wave, just nod our heads, and usually only nod when there's another bike of the same category. For example i ride a sports bike cbr600rr and i'll usually get guys on other sportsbikes nodding but not guys on cruisers or tourers so much maybe the occasional one that feels friendly, but its nice though :)
The rest of the world pays about $6 to $8 a gallon. They desperately desire that the USA drivers pay like they do. As the dollar is devalued, fuel costs will rise. When that mystical number shows on the pumps, we will see far more two wheelers on the nations highways. The cagers will shrink in size and numbers. The mopeds and scooters will begin to rise like in Indonesia. The ruling elite will still drive their Benzes and Beemers. Like elsewhere in society, they will assume to Rule the road..
@kingcrumpet Tens of hundreds of people die each year with that mentality.. Start off small 250, or even a 500, anything larger than that your putting your life at risk in a lot more ways than a small bike, not saying you'll actually be using all that power, your hand my slip on the throttle, or accidentally shift into the wrong gear, things like that happen. 600's fly, some will keep up with like a 929. Its scary.
If you notice, on Texas country roads people often wave at oncoming traffic and passers. It is JUST TEXAS good folk. As for bikes I can't say but I always wave at other bikers when I have been riding, as if to say "Hey Buddy" I'm out here like you and there are not many of us enjoying this drive quite like we are. MY PERSONAL OPINION IS, It has NOTHING to do with cagers, sometimes I am a cager.
I love how you talk in your videos while riding on a motorcycle. For some reason I get really focus on my thoughts when I am driving. I see why you do this
in know that feeling. I have bug juice on my visor all the time. But yeah i'm from Texas to Howdy and just about everybody throws the hand out but in the lower position even the cruiser guys when im in my k7 gsxr.
guys, i work in a O.R. and in the summer time motorcycle accidents are the majority of our code red/level 1 traumas. so keep making fun of "cagers" because i know i have the last laugh when i have to get a pulsavac and vacuum all your muscle away in order to amputate you! you want to know what the 2nd group of traumas are? female drivers & teen drivers.. we get more girls than boys
@mellowdalyricist How many bikers were put into your OR by an idiot who doesn't consider other road users before maneuvering their car though?
Over 50% of motorcycle accidents are caused entirely by car drivers (10% by pedestrians)... those numbers don't include accidents where the rider was partly to blame.
It's right to abuse cagers - they cause the vast majority of deaths and injuries on the roads. Motorcyclists are overrepresented in injuries CAUSED by car drivers though, that's true.
earn money online check my vid can ern upto 50 pound a day (depends how long ur on) just for clicking surveys ( and clicking yes/no questions) /watch?v=ePyIqcaPGIg
the wave is 2 fingers , low and to the left, if at any point during the wave your hand is above your handlebar (except for let go and regrip) you may appear a bit to excited, thus ,slightly lowering your level of coolness. lol
When I used to ride I tried to follow a rule which was to maintain a 4 to 6 second distance in front of me at all times. This rule didn't always work out because traffic would flow in and out. It jut seems here that you get on this biker's butt and intensionally pass him/let you know you're there just to wave at him. Is this right? I mean it's ok to pass people, but only while your'e in your own lane. To me it would be like invasion of my "personal bubble" while I'm riding.
i drive a mazda rx8, whenever we see eachother we always give a honk and a wave. i think people really love and have a interest in their vehicle and when they see others with the same interest why not say hey with a wave? makes sense.
In Texas when I ride my Kawasaki vulcan about 2 or 3 out of 5 people throw a hand out. Dont know why, but i usually do to. It comes from a comradery in the fight against the 4 wheeled demons I suppose.
@HowdyCallmeDaddy1 From my experience, bikers are more their own worst enemy than any cager. The videos on YouTube do wonders to prove that theory. As far as waving, from what I see as far as biker skill level, most bikers would be better suited to keeping both hands where they belong and leave the waving for the girls on the parade floats.
I usually get the finger here in the states because I go twice as fast as anyone else on the road with my GSX-R1000. Harley guys hate me because I pass them at 120 in a 70. Cops won't chase you when you go that fast either unless they have a helicopter in the area... but even those will average at about 140... which is very easy to walk away from
haha yeah thats nothing special really. everybike here in aus that rides waves to eachother. ya got to remember that those bikes are capabile of 200kmh with ease, so goin 20kmh faster than the other bike isnt all that fast.
i have got a thubs up off another biker when he took over my 600 at 270kmh but, that was kinda like camping, it was intense. haha get it? 'intense'... 'in-tents'... camping... haha lame
i dont think it was a "f-you, im fast wave"... more of a, "hey whats going on" wave
for those who dont know. its a common thing to wave to other fellow bikers all through europe atleast. just like truckers, and buss drivers. we all share the passion.. stearing with one hand isnt a problem in high speeds. low speeds is a problem though. havent you ever tried riding a bicycle with no hands? all it needs is abit speed.... this only shocks you car drivers!
let me know when you do it @ top speed.
