So...here's my theory. In episode 1, our protagonist asks that God of matchmaking to let him be the one to be with Akashi. He has it written and fated to happen. He then suggests for him to strike up a convorsation so destiny can be fulfilled...but he chickens out! However, destiny cannot be thrown away so easily. Destiny forces him to relive his recent life until he finally finds a way to be with Akashi. The problem is Ozu truely wants him to be miserable and is secretly sabotaging him!
