Your really good at this game, I cant barelly play with those shitty ass PS2 controllers, the analogs suck balls for fps games, I prefer the mouse/keyboard and xbox360 controllers, those 2 are the perfect fps tools
@extreme5050 I really like the PS2 controller. The DualShock 2 was never built with shooters in mind, but rather a wide variety of games. While it doesn't have analog triggers, the R1, R2, L1, L2 and the rest of the face buttons are all pressure-sensitive, unlike the Xbox and Xbox 360 controllers. The D-Pad is arguably the best out of the entire last generation of consoles, too. Still, the 360 controller and the mouse/keyboard are fine methods of control.
@Godservantletter WWI also had intense urban fighting in the beginning and the beach landings and open combat in the Ottoman Empire. Those would be funner to play then some modern super soldier.

my question is what's so great about making WW2 games? Don't get me wrong i enjoy playing them but what about WW1 & Vietnam? They are now starting to mak motern war games but why leave out WW1 & Vietnam?
@Superpepsiman20 cause the tactics involved in vietnam and WW1 aren't as epic and playable as WW2. WW1 was an artillery war and Vietnam was all about "search and destroy" squads. WW2 is hands down the most interesting conflict to port in a videogame.
@Superpepsiman20 cause the tactics involved in vietnam and WW1 aren't as epic and playable as those in WW2. WW1 was an artillery war and Vietnam was all about "search and destroy" squads, given that the north vietnamese fought with guerilla tactics, in small cunning, ambushing squads that required observation, stealth and effective air support. WW2 is hands down the most interesting conflict to port in a videogame. That's why people make WW2 games. It demands you to have balls of steel.
@Superpepsiman20 I would like to see WWI games too, most people think it was only trench warfare when there was much more. And Vietnam they are are starting to make, Its a shame that they wont make WWI games.
I will teach you guys 2 cheats in MoH Frontline......the first one is circle,L2,square,L1,select,R2,triangle and select for infinite ammo. And the other one is square,L1,circle,R1,triangle,L2,select and R2 for invincibility.......hehehe.....Try it......it works.
I think so. I'm not entirely sure, though. Somebody from Holland recently told me that this bridge look exactly like the one in Arnhem, and not Nijmegen. This may or may not be the same bridge you see in that game.
@spicyechidna94 It looks similar to one in MOH airborne. Sometimes in historical games you notice things. On thing I noticed was in the games Call of Duty W@W Final Fronts, and MOH Pacific Assault. Both games recreated the island of Tarawa Atoll so accurately you can actually see where you land in Pacific Assault when playing COD FF. You actually land just to the left of where you land in Pacific Assault. The ship and dock and everything is the same in both games
It does. However, it wouldn't be the first time EA got a historical detail wrong if it isn't. Since I'm not from Holland, I really can't confirm if it's the same bridge or not. I merely assume it is. :D
@spicyechidna94 THIS? THE HOLLAND BRIDGE? pfft. No bridge is this long. and doesnt have like a zillion abandoned cars on it. and has a bunch of german soldiers on the top (WHYYYYY. that dude just hangs himself like wtf.)
I'm not sure if that was sarcasm or not. To be honest, I don't have a f***ing clue what this bridge REALLY is, nor do I particularly care, for that matter. That may sound harsh, but seeing as I do not live in Holland, it really doesn't make a difference to me. I get comments from Dutch people all the time that explain the historical inaccuracy of this bridge, but I personally don't give a damn as long as the game still lets me shoot things.
@spicyechidna94 And that's RIGHT FUCKING ON! I've played this campaign at least 200 times, being it was the only game I had in 2002 - 2006 and was and still is my favorite.

The difficulty is Normal. I have just played the game so often that I memorized where everything is, so it seems like I play on Easy, but it's really on Normal.
Jimmy, we've got good reasons to believe the Nijmegen Bridge is rigged to blow, and seeing as you got no choice but a ____ (cross??) for the night. About you go ahead and disarm a few of those detonators for your new ____ (counter??) timer uh? Good, I'll take your silence for a yes, go get him ____ !
You know someone is badass when they can climb ladders with their teeth while simultaneously shooting people below. I won't lie, I constantly take advantages of the stuff like that as well as glitches without even knowing it.
This may be a really late response, but even I would have screamed if I fell from the bridge. Even though it's only a game, I always get a very uncomfortable feeling when I'm up there.
I'm not being funny. He really was overrated, in my opinion. Sure, he had some successes with Rommel, but apart from that, he didn't really do anything particularly notable, and wanted too much personal glory. Sure, Patton was also interested in personal glory, but he was a tactical genius. Oh, and before you think that I'm jealous of British generals, remember that if America hadn't entered the war, you'd probably be speaking German and munching on strudel. Oh, and please don't type like that.
well u cn hav an opinion, of course, but he did'nt wnt personal glory, he only had a private funeral, an he also sed tht he hd been a evil kid, a bully. i respect fact tht u trned the side in the pacific, an tht u an canada sufferd terrible losses (possibly the wrst) in nrmndy, but monty helped in Tunisia, Sicily, Normandy, Italy and the Advance to the Rhine.
he also fought in the somme, passendale and arras in the first world war.
Look, I'm not saying he was a terrible general by any stretch of imagination, but I say he was definitely overrated. I'm sure you think the same thing about US generals, and that's only natural. If you truly think Montgomery was a tactical genius, that's your opinion. If it helps you sleep at night, then more power to you. I still stand by everything I've said, though. If you don't like it, don't watch my videos. It's that simple.
no i don't think that all the american generals were ovr8ed, i just luv the fact tht there ws a general tht spnt his own time talkin 2 injurd soilders. but i will carry on watching ur vids, cause ur brilliant at MOH: Frontline
soz to but in ba we won the war wid our own planes and we had alot less planes than that nazi cunt hitler anywaiz i ope ur on about da war n not da game haha
brilliant game, vastly under-rated and still far better than most WW2 genre games coming out in the market today...great memories, thanks for taking the time to post
Great game from all those years ago. I still think of it and in a way I still prefer it to COD World at war even COD is a better game. I miss my old PS2;-(
Indeed. While the MOH series as a whole has gone from excellent to merely average, MOHF was great, with solid graphics, fantastic sound design, and varied gameplay. Now MOH games rip off the very series that it inspired. But at least we have the classics. :D
Agreed I played MOH Airborne recently and was pretty uninpressed. It was ok graphically and not bad gamewise but it still lacked the old magic Frontline had in abundance. Maybe I should stop whining and get an old copy of Frontline back lol
Actually, I did. The action button has a forgiving range, and you don't even have to stop to defuse the bomb if you press the button at the right time while moving(there was a click, but the text message was slightly hidden because recording with a camera sometimes results in the top or bottom of the screen being sliced off). Thanks for watching! :D
Hay the germans were talking to each other made me think of Star wars: Jedi knight Jedi Acdumy(Yes I know it is Wrong spelling just please don't laugh)
I remember that guy ontop of the bridge who hesiated to shoot you before you shot him in the head actually helps you shoot germans below if you don't kill him, but kill all other germans on top of the bridge.
Hmmm... I will try that next time I play the level. But whenever I hesitate to shoot him, he always falls off the bridge anyways. I will try to kill evrybody before they can see me next time. Of course, even if he does try to help me, he may not be able to hit anything from so high up...and I will shoot him later anyways. I'm sadistic like that. :D
I founded a glitch at the beginning ... if you shoot Tyler many times on different spots,he will fall to the ground.Thats normal but .... the glitch happen when he fall to the ground and be pushe back at the same time.
This game is the best one out of the series, the problem is that the A.I isn't that good, take that person at the beginning, he talks then does nothing
That isn't so much a fault of the AI as it is an odd design choice. He is not supposed to help you, and the only reason he was there is because he dropped you off for the mission. But the actual friendly AI in this game can go from good to laughable... In the earlier levels AI isn't bad, but Arnhem Knight's AI can't hit anything. It doesn't help that each shot from their weapons is weaker then a pistol. :P
That is a shame... But at least you have all those other consoles, right? Also, tracking down a copy of the game can't be too hard, as the PS2 version is fairly common.
I love how he just sits there once you go up to the bridge. I could understand if he left shortly after he dropped you off, but all he does is crouch by the stairs. He could help you out with some fire support, but he deferred. I think I know why he won't help you, though; MOHF's allied AI has pathfinding that can border on retarded, and the Captain would almost assuredly get stuck the first time he had to go down narrow stairways. The AI in MOHU was a lot smarter, and that was a PS1 game! 0_o
Compared to the first MOH and MOH: Underground on the PS1, this level's music is like skipping through a field of flowers during springtime. With bunnies. Catacombs... Castles... Dogs... Then again, I ran screaming through those levels, so maybe it was just a hallucination. Or was it...? (dramatic music) 0_o
He was likely sent in only to escort you to the bridge and nothing more. And that would be okay, if he at least left after you walked onto the bridge, but he just crouches there forever. :P The fact that he doesn't actually help you yet he just sits there is very strange... 0_o
Is it hard to aim with the PS2 controller? I dont know....it just feels like if I use the anolog stick the sensitivity will be too high. It looks as if the movement is very jerky with the sniper gun/whatever its called. Well maybe it's just me xD
The aiming isn't too sensitive for me. To me, it can be a little slow in aim mode, but otherwise, the aiming is just fine. The jerkiness you noticed is not the rifle itself, but the framerate, which is not always stable, and makes it seem as if it is the control's fault, even though it isn't. Still, the aiming could be better. :D
Just because the game is mostly a lone-wolf one doesn't make it suck. It conveyed tension and a sense of urgency in the missions, and was backed up by solid graphics and great sound. MOHF was not a perfect game by any stretch of imagination, but it was better than the travesty that was Rising Sun... Also, the original MOH on the PS1 had zero AI assistance, and to me it is one of the best FPS games ever made (a lot better than MOHF). But we all have our opinions. :D
Thanks. Maybe you just need to take cover more. Crouching and taking enemies out before they see you is important. Try to flank the Machine-Gun emplacemants, or try to snipe them. Take care of them first, and then kill the rest.
I must admit the Battle of Arnhem was a catastrophe for the British, and Market Garden certainly didn't go to plan, although Montgomery, aside from Rommel and MacArthur, was the best commander of the war, I'm not sure he was over-rated, nevertheless, another great video of this great game mate, I reckon this level has the best music.
Thanks. Sorry about Montgomery thing, but we Americans have our own opinions about military leaders. I'm also sure that there is someone out there who thinks that Eisenhower was an overrated leader as well. The battle for superiority is a war that every country fights, regardless of who is right. But in the end, we defeated the Germans and all was well... until Russia decided they were better than the rest of the Allies... Those silly Reds... :D
Yeah, haha, guess Communists are better than Nazis, oh, and I also missed out Georgy Zhukov, who was definitely the most under-rated commander of the war, ando of course Eisenhower. I think Montgomery and Rommel were both brilliant desert commanders, rather than Western Front commanders.
I love the music on this level, and when you get to the top of the bridge you can walk up to a frightened German and he swaps sides, by then sniping the Germans below, which is also cool.
Yes, Communists are slightly better than the Nazis, since they didn't do quite as many horrible things, and at least they didn't go to war with us. Also, I forgot about Zhukov, who really was shadowed by other Allied commanders. He practically won the war for the Soviet Union. The music is also a perfit fit for the nighttime sniping in this level. Good times.
I don't really consider the Cold War to be a "war" per se, because we never engaged in open conflict. Sure, the US and Russia were constantly at each other's throats, but we never actually DID anything. Both countries just threatened each other, nothing more. Not that I'm complaining, though... The Cold War was just a competition to see who was better, and neither country won.
Sorry, to dash your hopes, but that won't likely happen. I recently sold the game for one, and secondly, I'm not too fond of it. It just doesn't have the production values or meticulous detail that the previous MOHs had.
i love how all the nazis seem deaf in this game. I guess it isnt bad, but dont they hear this loud gun fight going on? Oh well, still is a great game.
Very true. Both sides of the war suffered greatly, and many innocent people died. While I will say I'm glad Germany lost the war (they did a few naughty things...), not everybody deserved the pain that followed. Soldiers are merely the tools of polititians, and aren't as evil as they are portrayed to be on either side of the conflict. They are all humans, after all.
Nicely said, I also think that the way soldiers are portrayed in games these days is a little disgusting. They aren't so inhumane and violent as we've come to think. In WW2 many Allies befriended Axis soldiers. The soldiers didn't do anything, they're just doing what they're told. Nazi's are no different than Allies, just a little more brutal with the holocaust and Hitler's dictatorship...
I have a difficult time here 2 for the gold trophy. Anyway the hardest will be the mission in the mining wagon.. To maintain 75 or more %. wtf. anyway thx for your uploads.. really really helpfull. I've already got one gold thnx 2 u. this will hopefully the 2nd. (Y)

airsoft54 2 years ago
I'm not being funny. He really was overrated, in my opinion. Sure, he had some successes with Rommel, but apart from that, he didn't really do anything particularly notable, and wanted too much personal glory. Sure, Patton was also interested in personal glory, but he was a tactical genius. Oh, and before you think that I'm jealous of British generals, remember that if America hadn't entered the war, you'd probably be speaking German and munching on strudel. Oh, and please don't type like that.
spicyechidna94 2 years ago
well u cn hav an opinion, of course, but he did'nt wnt personal glory, he only had a private funeral, an he also sed tht he hd been a evil kid, a bully. i respect fact tht u trned the side in the pacific, an tht u an canada sufferd terrible losses (possibly the wrst) in nrmndy, but monty helped in Tunisia, Sicily, Normandy, Italy and the Advance to the Rhine.
he also fought in the somme, passendale and arras in the first world war.
airsoft54 2 years ago
Look, I'm not saying he was a terrible general by any stretch of imagination, but I say he was definitely overrated. I'm sure you think the same thing about US generals, and that's only natural. If you truly think Montgomery was a tactical genius, that's your opinion. If it helps you sleep at night, then more power to you. I still stand by everything I've said, though. If you don't like it, don't watch my videos. It's that simple.
spicyechidna94 2 years ago
no i don't think that all the american generals were ovr8ed, i just luv the fact tht there ws a general tht spnt his own time talkin 2 injurd soilders. but i will carry on watching ur vids, cause ur brilliant at MOH: Frontline

Great game from all those years ago. I still think of it and in a way I still prefer it to COD World at war even COD is a better game. I miss my old PS2;-(
linebackertwo 2 years ago
Indeed. While the MOH series as a whole has gone from excellent to merely average, MOHF was great, with solid graphics, fantastic sound design, and varied gameplay. Now MOH games rip off the very series that it inspired. But at least we have the classics. :D
spicyechidna94 2 years ago
Agreed I played MOH Airborne recently and was pretty uninpressed. It was ok graphically and not bad gamewise but it still lacked the old magic Frontline had in abundance. Maybe I should stop whining and get an old copy of Frontline back lol

you forgot to defuse the last bomb. and at 2:13 it looked like there was blood :D
autobotbazooka43 2 years ago
Actually, I did. The action button has a forgiving range, and you don't even have to stop to defuse the bomb if you press the button at the right time while moving(there was a click, but the text message was slightly hidden because recording with a camera sometimes results in the top or bottom of the screen being sliced off). Thanks for watching! :D

I did. The action button in this game is very forgiving, and you can even disable charges while running if you hit the button at the right time.

Pokemongirl123 2 years ago
I remember that guy ontop of the bridge who hesiated to shoot you before you shot him in the head actually helps you shoot germans below if you don't kill him, but kill all other germans on top of the bridge.
Tlax13 2 years ago

I moved him until the tree behind him.
DasNomada65 2 years ago
This game is the best one out of the series, the problem is that the A.I isn't that good, take that person at the beginning, he talks then does nothing
Lacrossgeek1 2 years ago
That isn't so much a fault of the AI as it is an odd design choice. He is not supposed to help you, and the only reason he was there is because he dropped you off for the mission. But the actual friendly AI in this game can go from good to laughable... In the earlier levels AI isn't bad, but Arnhem Knight's AI can't hit anything. It doesn't help that each shot from their weapons is weaker then a pistol. :P
spicyechidna94 2 years ago
man this game was awesome, i had it for my xbox but then it broke damit, but hey, i have xbox360, ps3, ps2 and nintendo DS.
trenton1789 2 years ago
That is a shame... But at least you have all those other consoles, right? Also, tracking down a copy of the game can't be too hard, as the PS2 version is fairly common.
spicyechidna94 2 years ago
ya, i could just do that.
trenton1789 2 years ago
I never liked Tyler, lazy ass lol.
HumbleYankee 2 years ago
I love how he just sits there once you go up to the bridge. I could understand if he left shortly after he dropped you off, but all he does is crouch by the stairs. He could help you out with some fire support, but he deferred. I think I know why he won't help you, though; MOHF's allied AI has pathfinding that can border on retarded, and the Captain would almost assuredly get stuck the first time he had to go down narrow stairways. The AI in MOHU was a lot smarter, and that was a PS1 game! 0_o
spicyechidna94 2 years ago
I love the music, its so ominous
smsteve888 2 years ago
Compared to the first MOH and MOH: Underground on the PS1, this level's music is like skipping through a field of flowers during springtime. With bunnies. Catacombs... Castles... Dogs... Then again, I ran screaming through those levels, so maybe it was just a hallucination. Or was it...? (dramatic music) 0_o
spicyechidna94 2 years ago
i dont understand why that ally of yours doesnt help?
monicarae94 2 years ago
He was likely sent in only to escort you to the bridge and nothing more. And that would be okay, if he at least left after you walked onto the bridge, but he just crouches there forever. :P The fact that he doesn't actually help you yet he just sits there is very strange... 0_o

It probably isn't too hard to find Frontline these days. You can find one used at just about any videogame store for less than $10.
spicyechidna94 2 years ago
Is it hard to aim with the PS2 controller? I dont know....it just feels like if I use the anolog stick the sensitivity will be too high. It looks as if the movement is very jerky with the sniper gun/whatever its called. Well maybe it's just me xD
brokenfingers2014 2 years ago
The aiming isn't too sensitive for me. To me, it can be a little slow in aim mode, but otherwise, the aiming is just fine. The jerkiness you noticed is not the rifle itself, but the framerate, which is not always stable, and makes it seem as if it is the control's fault, even though it isn't. Still, the aiming could be better. :D
spicyechidna94 2 years ago
ohh i see. yeah i noticed on some of the other guns the stability and sensitiveness was a lot better xD thanks :]
brokenfingers2014 2 years ago
No problem.

I'm not sure, I don't speak German. Probably something along the lines of "Shoot him!" or "Does he EVER die?!".

worst medal of honor game - the reason i didnt like , because you had like almost 1 person with you in every level which made battles small
VideoGamesim 2 years ago
Just because the game is mostly a lone-wolf one doesn't make it suck. It conveyed tension and a sense of urgency in the missions, and was backed up by solid graphics and great sound. MOHF was not a perfect game by any stretch of imagination, but it was better than the travesty that was Rising Sun... Also, the original MOH on the PS1 had zero AI assistance, and to me it is one of the best FPS games ever made (a lot better than MOHF). But we all have our opinions. :D
spicyechidna94 2 years ago
The music in Rising Sun is still good though but the game itself is bad.

im haveing trouble beating this one, idk what im doing wrong its like im dieing like really fast. can you help me?
and great video!
C33C33BBY 2 years ago
Thanks. Maybe you just need to take cover more. Crouching and taking enemies out before they see you is important. Try to flank the Machine-Gun emplacemants, or try to snipe them. Take care of them first, and then kill the rest.
spicyechidna94 2 years ago
I must admit the Battle of Arnhem was a catastrophe for the British, and Market Garden certainly didn't go to plan, although Montgomery, aside from Rommel and MacArthur, was the best commander of the war, I'm not sure he was over-rated, nevertheless, another great video of this great game mate, I reckon this level has the best music.
07ed01 2 years ago
spicyechidna94 2 years ago
Yeah, haha, guess Communists are better than Nazis, oh, and I also missed out Georgy Zhukov, who was definitely the most under-rated commander of the war, ando of course Eisenhower. I think Montgomery and Rommel were both brilliant desert commanders, rather than Western Front commanders.
I love the music on this level, and when you get to the top of the bridge you can walk up to a frightened German and he swaps sides, by then sniping the Germans below, which is also cool.
07ed01 2 years ago
Yes, Communists are slightly better than the Nazis, since they didn't do quite as many horrible things, and at least they didn't go to war with us. Also, I forgot about Zhukov, who really was shadowed by other Allied commanders. He practically won the war for the Soviet Union. The music is also a perfit fit for the nighttime sniping in this level. Good times.
spicyechidna94 2 years ago
Yeah, great game, great music, good combination that.
You're forgetting the Cold War btw mate ; )
Yeah, I agree with Zhukov and the music though.
07ed01 2 years ago
I don't really consider the Cold War to be a "war" per se, because we never engaged in open conflict. Sure, the US and Russia were constantly at each other's throats, but we never actually DID anything. Both countries just threatened each other, nothing more. Not that I'm complaining, though... The Cold War was just a competition to see who was better, and neither country won.

you should do a playthrough on the game moh rising sun for ps2, it rocks!
weaponnerd 2 years ago
Sorry, to dash your hopes, but that won't likely happen. I recently sold the game for one, and secondly, I'm not too fond of it. It just doesn't have the production values or meticulous detail that the previous MOHs had.
spicyechidna94 2 years ago
i love how all the nazis seem deaf in this game. I guess it isnt bad, but dont they hear this loud gun fight going on? Oh well, still is a great game.
CaptainKill1124 2 years ago
I always thought about that too... Still, it's a lot better than it was on the PS1, believe me. :P

your allies and Nazi Germany went though the same hell in ww2
thebond22 2 years ago 3
They are all humans, after all.
spicyechidna94 2 years ago
Nicely said, I also think that the way soldiers are portrayed in games these days is a little disgusting. They aren't so inhumane and violent as we've come to think. In WW2 many Allies befriended Axis soldiers. The soldiers didn't do anything, they're just doing what they're told. Nazi's are no different than Allies, just a little more brutal with the holocaust and Hitler's dictatorship...
