Excellent video, nice philosophy on not shooting them too. I'm a BASC member who shoots Grey's in Wales... if you ever fancy charging for a flight, let me know..
Nice amount of geese, good to see someone who respects their game, if I was there, | would of been blazing away at them, cant wait for the 1st of september.. Hoping to get my 1st goose this upcoming season!
sorry mate should have said it better did you manage to shoot any i agree we in north east lincs only see a few of these birds a season so it is nice to sit back and enjoy somtimes when i go out wildfowling i dont shoot a thing it just nice to be able to sit on the marsh in the dark and listen and watch the world go by
If you shoot into a skein of 10,000 birds, you scare 10,00 birds. These were regularly coming to this marsh to rest - you do not want to disturb a refuge. It is better to pick off smaller skeins and pairs, that way the geese are more likely to stay there for future outings. Wildfowling is not a numbers game; you need to know when to shoot and when to exercise restraint, perhaps for future gain.
In any event, you don't see this every day; it's nice to sit back and enjoy it sometimes

No problem; yes, after these lifted we mopped up 3 or 4 out of singles and pairs that came through during the following hour or so.
A memorable flight all in all.
