The idea of wireless power will change things, but this is an example of near field induction.... it's not really very useful at all.... it will eliminate power cables only to items which either hold a charge or can be placed on a surface embedded with this tech.... basically, you still have to charge your cell phone, but instead of plugging your charger into any outlet nearby, you have to place it on a pad designed to charge your model of phone.... seems like a trendy piece of trash
Also, many people already have this tech in their homes.... If you own an electric toothbrush, look at where it plugs into it's charger and see if there are any metal contacts.... if not, then you already own this tech.... seem so amazing now?
@veematoo low power wireless charging solutions have been around, you're absolutely right. Fulton Innovation used them in eSpring water purifiers; that's actually in our timeline on our new site, it's where we started!
We're looking forward to a world of medium and high power devices as well, which is where our unique technology will help meet those wireless charging needs. You can read more on our site, ecoupled.com.
@veematoo@veematoo Thanks for the insight; that's why Fulton Innovation partners with companies such as KI, to provide an integrated inter-operable solution to your power charging needs.
If you're interested, check out the video we have in our partner section that was done by KI Furniture Knowledge.
KI produced it to show some concepts of how integrating our technology into their products will eliminate both chords and pads.
If cell phone towers are dangerous for the human psyche and physiology would it not this be even more dangerous to wirelessly transfer kilowatts? Kilowatts!!!!!! Jesus Christ, Wireless power may be safer if it were concentrated. There is a such thing as transfering power by means of laser. Oh, and this is not new technology. Tesla invented it decades ago.
Won't this require the use of waves or fields? If so, aren't we basically submitting ourselves to dangerous levels of energy....think open microwave in your home?
good idea that would change the world a lots of things that is creative

Less crazy old man, more technical specifications. True revolutions do not need to be marketed like this.

No, it's near-field induction. Magnetic waves only travel fractionally small distances directly between the coils.

This is amazing stuff!

High it Is not all that complicated as to how it works.
It use a from of induction to transfer the power.

It'd be allot more informing if he would tell how it works instead of what you can do with it.

It wouldn't be proprietory then. :^)
