I hiked part of this route in dec 78. Which month is the best for hiking in Nepal? I was told december, from a Nepali I had met earlier in London...

I was told October and April/May are the best times to go. If I remember correctly October was the peak season. I went in April and it was great, weather was perfect nearly the whole time and, although there were a fair amount of people, it didn't feel crowded. I'm dying to do it again.

Walked this route in 2003 - and it was amazing! Hopefully the political situation in Nepal will keep on improving, they're one of the poorest countries on earth, and the tourists is an important factor for their economy.
