  • i cried dam it:;(

  • what an intense death.

  • the arrows have the arrow dynamics of a sausage lol

  • what is even sadder is that he didnt mention his son T_T but i guess it would've ruin the line.

  • to me this is the most powerful scene of the movie.

  • Oh how i love this scene!! So powerfull!

  • can you please embed this link? thanks!

  • Before being killed the only thing he remembers and thinks of i shis wife, real love never ends and surpasses everything, is the last thing that really matters in this world plagued by nonsense wars

    TRUE LOVE LIVES FOREVER <3

  • we will fight in the shade

  • Still have trouble watching this scene. Excellent job Gerard.

  • Everytime my queen dies on SC II I shout " MY QUEEN!"

  • Dang! Overkill! Love this film :D

  • she gave him peace at the end

  • she gave him peace at his last moments.

  • so many death for the birth of democracy

  • Those millions of arrows that pierce him are like millions of epiphanies...During his last breath he realises that he lives and should live for his love... Battles and pride are sometimes left to the lesser man.

  • did he die?

  • @str8up777 nope. just hit a arrow on his ball sack.

  • he died for his state and won rome

  • "Stranger, announce to the Spartans that here We lie, having fulfilled their orders."

  • My queen and my wife... My Love...♥

  • WHY NO EMBED?!?!?!

  • MY LOVE!!!

  • if only we could all feel so strongly about someone ... to live this way and die with honour and great love

  • im sure one more arrow would kill him but ahh well just go for the whole 10,00000000000

  • "And so my king died and my brothers died..."

  • In this crucial moment, he is no longer a King....he is not a Husband....he is just....Human!!!

  • my favorite scene!

  • wow my tears goes off

  • Neo (matrix) could dodge this.

  • not any person can make such a scene, perfect acting , you need talent. Gerard is talented.

  • I gonna use these quotes when i die thinking of my pretty girl I LOVE U

  • me encanta esta escena!

  • Gerard Butler is a true talent.

  • 4 descendants of Xerxes hit the dislike button

  • exactly what I would say before I die.

  • this is how the real men die

    greek or dead

  • Oh my gosh I nearly cried !

  • @captainnoyaux Lol! I consider myself a tuff guy and I actually did. I love this movie. Its my goal to watch it 300 X.

  • That what I call fuckin' love...

  • a beautiful death

  • @SKatman115 yeah...

  • the song pls!!!

  • LEONIDAS <3

  • Manliest fucking movie ever.

  • @SonofSpardah2010 haha, Well don't forget Braveheart, The Expendables, etc. But yes, definitely one of the top 5.

  • @KyleSmithPodcast Naw man, doesn't even compare. Braveheart was a fantastic fucking movie, but not as manly as this shit.

  • i see this video when i feel without hopes..

  • dose he dead ? ??

  • @ehsan19 yep

  • @ehsan19 Yep, he DOES DIE

  • i got to watch that movie in history class at school

first time i paid attention in forever fuckin sweet ass movie

  • haha, seriously? i love the movie, but it's like 15% history

  • i dnt know at first i thought we were watchin one of those school movies so i went to sleep but then some guy got kicked in a fuckin hole lol

  • really nice movie

  • it's a very brave and sad scene :(

  • thats how i wanna go out.....damn.

  • @MMABruiser Better start with some push-ups ;]

  • ... this is how i feel....

  • Its sad...only in the last seconds of his life does he realize that she is more than just a Queen, but his Love.

  • Oh, you asked him that right before he died and still could avoid the arrows? good job man ;)

  • "'Goodbye my love.' He doesn't say it. There's no room for softness. Not in Sparta."

I always thought that he realized it before, but like they said towards the beginning of the movie, Spartans don't speak of love aloud. So his dying breath is his last chance to say it.

  • @athena018

    That's so right ! ;)

  • @dchris1990 true, but i think he always knew that. it was clear throughout the movie that he was deeply in love with her, but you can't say that as a Spartan.

  • @dchris1990 That's not true, he was a loving and attentive husband through the whole film! He always loved her and only held back the words when he was leaving for the sake of the moment!

  • @dchris1990 ,he always knew.Spartan women sent their men to the battle asking:"Come with your shield, or on it(dead)".Leonidas died with his woman's eyes staring at his.He knew he'd made her proud. His Queen...His Wife...His Love...She and their son was the most tender part of his soul and his out most motive for freedom...

  • @ioandes but he never dared to speak this word out. love, but with his last he did.

  • @dchris1990 Noooo, He does know it!!! He loves his wife!!! But he cant express it like you or me! Remember that: "...theres no room for softness, not in sparta, no place for weakness, only the hard and strong may call themselve spartans"

  • @dchris1990 You've got it wrong and do the character a dishonour. Leonidas never had any doubt about his love, which is what makes his sacrifice all the more glorious.

  • @dchris1990 he always had her high. Do some research! Now carry on with your Kool Aid

  • très beau film et belle chanson de voix bulgares !

  • i feel bad for him since his wife sort of cheated on him, but it was more like she was raped :(

  • she did it to save his life ...

  • @wolfeyez haha she failed

  • To takie dołujące... Wspaniały film i równie piękna muzyka. 5 to za mało

  • Very peice of this movie. Great acting.

  • Gerry enas ke monadikos!! :O)

  • so dramatic..

    but still..

    so heroic..

  • Una de las escenas de amor más grandes de la historia del cine. Impresionante.

  • Helal olsun!

  • This was one of the best movie I've ever seen dude.

  • Such a good peice of acting. I love it

  • Dude no1 could have done that act better than Gerard Butler. It was perfect....

  • thats art

  • aaaarrrggghhhhhh

  • EPIC SCENE!!!

  • best movie !

  • actuly arian50 people from iran still consider themselfs persians

  • She was the last thing he could think of. So sweet...bittersweet.

  • also xcocobearx it was the thespians not the arcadians who fought with them

  • " In ancient Greece this was the principal region of the Spartan state" Laconia was composed of many fo the southern greek states. Just thought you might want to know.,

  • I thought the Persians looked badass.

  • technically, there was actually 3oo spartans, AND 10, 000 other soldiers.

and leonidus was one of the first to die on the battle fields.

but i fricking LOVE this movie :]

  • For Sparta....

  • poor

  • :'( so sad...

  • ioport serously i am greatful u are not my history teacher oh heres a fact this is a movie not fact... a movie in this case is using a piece of history and modifying it

to entertain a criteria audience deal with it everything in this corrupt world does not need to be depicted in a fictional manner on the screen that would be pointless as we learn historical facts of people like u and we dont need to have the fact the world is corrupt even 2000 years ago rubbed into our faces evry time we watch

  • like ALL good stories told, parts are going to be embellished. I'm Persian. I'm not offended even though alot of it is fabricated. It doesn't take away from the fact that this movie kicks some serious ass and the history of these people standing up to a tyrant is nothing short of heroic. In real life- there were several other armies that were helping, but did not sacrifice anything like the Spartans did. Give credit where credits earned. Damn. This is one of my absolute fav. movies.

  • your right, in real life there was a group called "the greek army council" where after the battle of marathon, any battle in Greece atleast 6 city states would have to send a certain amount of men to the battle

    greek persia

    6,500 men 300,000 men

and yes the persians in this movie are masked and made horrid looking to de-humanise them so that when you see hundreds of them die you dont care lol

  • We need more people like you in the world. People that will go "Yes, there was someone in my race that did some bad shit. I didn't do that bad shit, and I'm cool with that."

  • You are persian....Don't you mean Iranian?

  • one in the same there buddy.

  • epic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Since you know the "truth" stay away from us, hahaha.

  • wtf is your problem get a fuckin life...

  • Yeah ok they were but just because hollywood wants to create a little love scene between an ancient king and his wife, i doubt people are gonna hate it, maybe its not accurate, but does it really annoy you that much?

  • lol monkey,turbofags...you r really funny man...u really have nothing better to do than calling people fags in a youtube video...now go get laid cause you seem like you need it...oh and read some history.fuckin idiot...

  • im really really sad for your students if you have any...

  • Some greeks were but most were not watch?v=aHk9JoXoBMY

Why don't you read " Synopsium " by Plato ... Plato hated women ( misygonistic tendencies ) and said that women were unworthy of love ... he was the one that created this entire fiasco if you didn't know ... afterwards his disgusting theories some took it to heart ( but some also did not thank goodness ) ... read that book ioport ... you'd be surprised at his views ... very sad indeed

  • But my wife..... my love...

  • i love this part. those 3 sentences were so heart wrenching i cried.

  • this , film???? is the longest video clip ever , very good for a musical group but not for a serious cinema

  • My love

  • best scene ever

  • everyone is gonna die one day. Its how you die. If your death has a meaning, then you'l be remembered forever. Salute to all the brave kings.

  • What? Kings used to fight with honor on the battlefield? Imagine the politicians of today's world fighting along side their armies...then maybe there would be less wars.

Bless you all, and stay up.

  • Everybody will die someday thats way its importent how we lived and how we died..

....and if you ''stand'' one day infront of the great Energy that has creat all the beautyness in this world than you can hold your head up high!!

peace to all the hidden kingz out there!!

  • i agree with you

if you can be brave and stand and fight to the last man, you shall be remberd and hounard for your bravery

  • BroUghtBySea your thinking is so right !!

what makes a man a king is his character....and nothing else! not his shine clothing or crown and of course not his might!!

  • Whats the name of the song? anyone?

  • back when there was such a thing called love

  • Comment removed

  • this is just a movie but to die with honour is one of the best things you can achieve

  • This did happen. I wish I were half as brave and dedicated.

  • You can be brave and dedicated, when you are saying i wish i were

An moving moment can influence your thinking

That will make you do things you won't regret

  • Honor is just a word made up by kings and politicians to trick the youth into killing each other. there is no honor in killing.

  • honour has many expressions , you can die with honour but you won't achieve honour by killing. i think that honour is the respect that you have for yourself and for other people.

  • This is one of my favorite scenes in the whole movie even tho it's so very tragic.

  • oh boo f-ckin hoo.

if ya dont like it dont watch it then.

  • here comes da tears

  • ...everytime...never fails

  • ur a sonofabitch that movie is good i have it on DVD and i dont believe what u are writing that will never happen

  • This is great movie !!! The best !!!

  • this depressed me...the last words he spoke of were about her..how romantic and sad..

  • This moment is SO touching... even at the edge of death he still thinks of his love. He did really well here.

  • Man the way he says "My Queen!" just tears me up.

  • Same!

  • what is the song played in this scene

  • I think it is the end of the song "Glory" off the official soundtrack.

  • thats a waist of arrows..

and its a very good movie, I think ive seen it over 20 times and ist always just as good as it was the last time I did see it

  • init that was like a 100 ARROWS ON 1 PERSON THE KING!!!!

  • It would have been funny if all those arrows missed. Actually he did die in a way very similar to that. And after his death, he was beheaded and his head put on a pole to rally the Persian troops. When they saw Leonidas' head, it struck terror into them.

  • BEST FU CKIN MOVIE EVER!

  • my love

  • He's a great actor. It's beautiful the way he plays.

  • i kno rite!!! he is one of the best.

  • ...my wife...my love

    oh i cry EVERY time!!

    this is sooo sad :(

    oh gerard :(

  • lol...

There's always one sad sack who has to point out historical inaccuracies in movies, just so they can get a intellectual trip to hide how boring they are.

If I wanted historical accuracy I'd watch a documentry.

  • lol....

  • i agree with you, my friend. We know not how

much he loved his wife and it would be disresspect to put words in a dead man s lips. However that make the audience realise that

the Spartans ( Spartiates) had feelings like we

do. They were humans not war machines. If they

were machines they woyldnt be able to love, think

and live free. So are WE.

  • epic

  • I cry everytime when he says my love!!!

  • mee too :(

  • me three :(

  • Epic Ending! Best scene of da movie! (: It always makes me cry D:

  • Fucken EPIC!!!!!

  • 300 to mój najlepszy film jest w nim motyw walki o naród oraz motyw pięknej miłości z której biorę przykład i wiele się uczę

  • Gerard butler, the best choice to make him leonidas, he did a great job.

  • Agrees, he was amazing as Leonidas xD

  • OMG

    this is

    my favorite

    part in 300

  • oh and by the way this movie is badass

  • you realize that although they took a real situation it wasnt supposed to be a historically accurate movie, it was meant to be a blockbuster hit filled with action and thats what it was. Now watching this movie does make me interested in what really happened but i am a smart enough person to know that this wasnt supposed to be the most accurate portrayal of them all.IF u stop and watch the movie without judging it on its historic accuracy cant u say that it was a very good movie for its genere?

  • Lol an history carebear in the making. You pointing out this movie as not historical accurate would be like someone pointing out the daily news as a non reliable news show (even though this is debatle in our times but thats an entirely different arguement :D). You looked at this movie as an historical piece. As a documentary instead of artwork. The stupidity lies, not in the movie, but in your point of view. Oh and remember Einie, you Wannabebrainiac, "Imagination>Intelligence"

  • Excellent book! Have you read "Julian" by Igor Vidal?

  • They weren't even basing this movie on the historical events. They were remaking the COMIC into a movie. Blame the comic for the incorrect historical accuracy. (If there is any)

Since I haven't read the comic (yet) I'm guessing that the movie was pretty much like the comic. So don't criticize the movie, you butthead. *shakes fist*

  • And then I fall again=)

  • that's one of the best scenes i ever saw in a movie. EVER!!!! that describes how much a women means to a man! i mean he is diying and the last thing he thinks, is his wife. that's what i could a real love movie.
