It's true!! Anything DOES go! That bit where she sings "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" had me in fits, I haven't heard anything so bizarre since I first heard Barbra Streisand singing Bob Marley's "Guava Jelly". I particularly liked the bit where the stoned hippies behind her managed to find the energy at the chorus to move their heads around. Yeah man!

I didn't know "My Love Is Alive" was such an old song. I first heard Chaka Khan sing it in '84.

Can you think of any performer today who could pull off an extended medley of such wildly varying musical styles with this level of grace, talent and beauty, without resorting to being barely clothed and bumping and grinding? Not that there's anything wrong with that, but this special and Olivia harken back to a time when female singers actually had real vocal TALENT. She happened to be absolutely gorgeous as well, but she really could (and can) sing.
