being a huge dead head... gotta say i'm not a bobby fan, especially when he is on his own. With the band, he did add a lot, but on his on he just doesn't have what it takes IMHO.
@concretejungle80cruz , I, like you feel the same way! He's not great on his own. If it was not for his Dead afilliation he would not be on the map! He should shave off them porkchops also! Phil Lesh is the one that carries the torch!
Keller and cheese at roo 07 was fantastic last year the dead got kicked off stage for kanye west (really??) talk about ruining a saturday night.. mulberry fest in the ozarks langorado in south florida roo in tenn vibes in the north east north florida indian creek they are all 3 day happenings check them out some close to carolinas just this weekend there was a fest in north carolina (not sure the name) keep an ear out you will find plenty near you
Keller Williams is one of the most talented musicians alive. The funny thing is, he started playing and continues to play, solely for his own entertainment. If you can EVER see him live & solo, it is worth whatever you have to do to see it. You will not be disappointed.
ARE YOU JUST A COMPLETE IDIOT, OR JUST PARTIALLY? DON'T START SWEATING, THAT WAS A RHETORICAL QUESTION. YOU JUST PROVED THAT YOU DO NOT, IN FACT, "love the dead and all," BECAUSE ANYONE WHO DID, WOULD NEVER SAY THAT. Nothing Personal.
muddoggy is right, these are 2 of my favorite musicians on stage together at the same time......HELLLLLOOOOOOO????
IF an event of such COSMIC proportions were to EVER occur in the Southeast, i.e. The Carolinas, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, or any of the countless cool other places nearby, the crowd would not only be dancin' circles around one another, we would do it in complete appreciation for each musician and their respective skill set. Bobby AND Keller BOTH ROCK!!! With or w/o each other!!!
I believe that this is from the Gathering of the Vibes 8/19/06. Bob Weir played at least one song with every band on the Main stage that day including Hot Tuna, Mickey Hart & Bill Kreutzmann's Rhythm Devils. Donna Jean Godchaux-MacKay also came out for both Ratdog and when Bobby played with the Rhythm Devils! Four members of the Dead plus Mike Gordon of Phish. Super Day of shows!
I actually was the person who taped this. It's from 7/27/2007 in San Diego at Humphries by the Bay. Keller opened up for Ratdog. Was a fun summer tour with Kimock filling in for Karan.
FYI: anyone who gets the honor of sharing the same stage as bobby, I can assure you, is NO Jerry wannabe. It is people like you that make older Dead fans despise us younger ones. Peace, Love & Light.
@samwrhodes3 , Phil Lesh is the true one that carries the torch! Remember that my young friend! Weir was very good with the Dead but if it was not for that I don't think he'd be on the map at all! Step back and think about what I'm saying? On his own he's not really a front man, great backup though! Weir's great with the furthur tour, the chemistry is there with phil and that great lead guitarist from the Dark star orchestra. On his own he's really cruising on past glory! My opinion....Peace!
@NukesOfHazzard you must be stupid or something.. how could you say keller is a "wanna be jerry"?? his guitar playing style is completely different and his whole stage persona is completely different.. damn people need to think before they talk.. oh and anyone that wants to be like jerry is ok in my book!! other than the heroin he's a good role model!
This guy rocks! Keller Williams... may be dumb on my part but i never heard of him i thought. I'd have guessed Matt Kelly but this guy is young! He rocks on the accosutic
SUCKS
