  • Just a scratch, superficial damage at most. Probably got it off the nest day.

  • 9/11 was an inside job- still no pentagon video showing an airplane after 10 years.

  • OH SHIT MY CAR!

  • Ouch!

  • But really its their own fault. Sad or not. They spent $10 MILLION on the project and didn't account for wind drift?? didn't have any measure of controlling the drag?? I mean seriously thats not even science. Its common sense.

  • @grimtango5280 you don't account for it, you just don't make the stupid mistake of launching in high winds. You look at a weather report before hand and cancel if it's too windy. Pretty simple. Balloonists do it all the time.

  • uuuups stroshi se :D

  • well boys, better get out that erector set and start building another one. what's 10 mil. to Nasa anyway, petty cash.

  • send em to jail this money could go for somethin very helpful instead jerks!

  • They should rethink of how to launch a helium balloon.

  • Idiots... sorry. Not an Idiots, but Idiots.

  • :)))))) LOL! what an Idiots...

  • Wow..it just looked like there was no way it was going to get off the ground. With the angle the balloon was at prior to takeoff I could tell when they released it it was going almost straight down, just too much wind.

  • man they could have given me at least half a million instead a failed attempt to work with a Space Balloon, real cool NASA

  • FAIL

  • BLAST was launched successfully in Antarctica using a mobile crane and with no obstructions in the area. These guys clearly didn't think things through.

  • Did the SUV die?

  • And Obama thinks we're going to make it to Mars?

  • the dumb ass crane driver!!! haha turned too early@!!!

  • Ha, Ha, The US can sucessfully launch multi-billion dollar shuttles with millions of working parts with an almost 100% success rate and we can't even let a fucking balloon go!

  • I've heard they blamed 'strong gusts of wind' for the accident. But it's clear that crane was turning, and the instrument was not clamped properly.

But hey, that's right, blame the wind, it's all the wind's fault.

    Idiots.

  • Yup!

  • Am i the only one that thinks it is also very funny?

  • @alonemail I hope so.

  • It's also sad to see so much stupidity at work. What the hell are the cars doing there. It's Australia for crying out loud. If there's one thing there's plenty of, it's wide open space.

  • It is sad to see so much work and knowledge lost in a few moments.

  • @vanair1488 No its sad to see that the money could of been used for things much more constructive .
