  • lyrics?? ska?? talent??

  • ska??????????????????

  • haters gatta hate.

  • you dumb

  • walking bass line with accented rhythms on the upbeat are all that make ska

  • i play the intro with ska chorus

  • what's ska about this?????

  • i liked the video and all but for those critisizing The guitarist its also not the greatist quality u can hear the camera overloading in video so its not complelty his fault that and the singing does overload a bit but all together great try

  • Following things needed: band, horns, talent, and a better singer. And dump that 182 stuff. Then you'll sound great.

  • You need horns and different chords.

  • I was under the influence that this was punk, good or not. Who would've known an entire genre that tried to destroy elitism and create equality, would in itself, create elitists.

  • lol yeah I agree.

  • @boondocks128 agreed!

  • 2 or 3 basses?

one is all you need buddy:)

  • Despite what anyone says, you don't need horns and bass to be ska.

    Good job, boys.

  • not exactly the right lyrics but i liked your take on it

  • correction all you need to be ska is a chord sequence on the up beat. as in 1 and 2 and 3 and 4. one chord on every and

  • if you wanna make a ska version of this song firt u need to change the chords because, how can a neo punk song become into a ska song with the same chords but with diferent rythm

  • Because that's literally all ska punk is, is the same chord progressions, but with the upbeat rhythm. Look at Rancid, at Op Ivy, at Less than Jake.

  • @Ranger1649

I absolutely love ska; hands down, it is my favorite genre. However, I completely agree with you about ska punk. Mixing ska with punk is like mixing milk with orange juice; milk is good, orange juice is good, but when combined the acid of the juice curdles the milk leaving one WRETCHED concoction. I do however appreciate this video for its intention, but I did not enjoy it. The only thing ska about this is that the strum pattern is the 3rd-wave-bastardized skank. Full bar chords? :'(

  • @Ranger1649 Do you know what a chord progression is?...because your comment made absolutely no sense.

  • Lyrics - Fail

    Singing - Fail

    Ska - Fail

    Overall - Dismal Failure

  • hows this fail? this is ska win in my opinion... just heyre off beat but i love this

  • maybe have the lyrics in front of you next time :P

  • bleh, sang like shit

  • That was really awesome, but wasn't Ska at all. It was really just an acoustic version of the song, but it was done very well!

  • jus cos ur skanking it dusnt make it ska?

  • gay but funny and NOT ska. gosh.

  • yeah really gay youre right ;)

  • blah..

  • lol singer...... stick with boxcar racer covers lmao

  • NOT SKA

  • but cool :D

  • ok singer learn how to sing

and guitarist... learn how to actually play upstrokes right

  • hahahahahahaha funny shit, i dont know if ur joking

  • hahaha

  • singer is retarded

  • not ska

  • das lied is kein ska , aber find ich sogar besser als das original :P

  • 0:57

"and i'll swear, and i swear its okay, and i swear its okay"

    Lmao, what the...

Im guessing these guys first language isnt english, but its still funny hearing them say that.

  • Isn't Ska just when white kids do regae?

  • lol

  • ska was around before reggae. reggae actually came from ska.

  • Oh cool I never knew that. The only ska I really listen to is Sublime, but they are titled as "ska Punk" so I don't know if that counts.

  • barf

  • Doesn't ska have brass?..

  • it dun have to third wave ska doesnt usually have that much brass

  • I suppose that's ture it kinda became less essential at 2-tone, huh. =P

  • No ska doesn't need brass. Ska is pretty much rock with a jazz/blues sound with it. And usually uses a walking bass line. But I do prefer the sound of brass with it. But it doesn't have to have it.

  • ska DOES need brass... and the upstroke guitars... its the 3rd wave that doesnt use brass as much because its mixed with punk and stuff... and the jazz is more like the saxophones... but anyway the point is that ska needs the upstrokes and the brass... and this is acoustic so brass isnt required

  • doesnt sound good with the acoustic

  • i'm assuming english isnt his first language?

  • LoL

  • i actually liked this cover, many other covers are shit.. :)

  • the singer sounds like hes a downsyndrome with no balls
