hey this is to anyone who does fire poi,

i am only just starting to dso fire poi and is is going okk,

the only problem is i keep hitting myself in the balls or in my face lol can you give me any tips on how not to hurt myself lol

@peoplewillown I'm not an expert on poi, I've been doing it on and off for the past two years or so.

I found the best way to avoid hitting myself in the balls or face et cetera was to go through the step you're trying to master slowly, then medium speed then fast. And then practice and practice until you can (literally) do it with your eyes closed.

Also; if you want a pain-free way of practicing, take a pair of socks and wrap knots in the end of each sock to create anti-pain poi haha :)

@peoplewillown it s normal, practicing poi without hitting yourself is practically impossible, but someday you realize that you hit yourself less and less until eventually you mastered the move. I m still in the "ball-and face-hitting phase" still, but its gotten less over the months

Thats just isolations, these ones in a front wall plane.

Move your hand in a circle, following the poi head, this will make a smaller circle. If you have your poi in split time the poi heads should be near your hands. :)
