Looks pretty cool , but I would advice any newbie to riding to do some research on how helmets are made. You will see that the styrofoam looking parts that he is cutting is made to crush on impact of a crash. If it is already cut or crushed, it will not do what it's suppose to do in a real crash.

Your helmets integrity is gone now. The outer plactic shell and the inner foam are designed to disperse a god-forbid impact. Imagine riding down the street and a stupid teen driver decides to make an illegal U-turn in front of you, not knowing your right behind and you T-bone them. Do you think your camera is going to protect your face? Never alter your helmet dude because you never know when something will happen. Just my opinion though. Pretty crafty, and inventive work.

Obviously not jackass. They're made to perfection, and any altering of the material could make it weaker and more likely to not hold the energy of a crash as well. Logic>opinion.

It's like this, you have a 2 layer roof for your house, k? You take a layer off or change it (Or in this case, take some of it out), do you really thing it will be as strong?

I don't have the time nor money to go buy a helmet and test it, nor do i have the knowledge to do it.

Here's an idea that might help you on the next helmet. You can use the grinder tool that you used to clean up the hold for the camera lense to grind the foam down little by little so you get the exact fit.
