Not bad! Kissing looks really hard to draw!

Criticism:

Aang's feet look too big. You probably made them as long as his forearms, but those are too long too. I think his elbow should'nt have been right next to his body (what you did with Katara's elbow was good, though). I also think they look too stiff. Aang looks stiff because of his arms, and both of them look stiff because the front of their bodies was drawn as a straight line.

But I know how hard it is to draw people, especially form this angle. I just think you should've made them a bit curvier. The shading looks funny, too. Try drawing the source of light before you shade (you can get rid of it after if you want) and shade only the parts facing the source of light. Also, Aang's ear looks too small and Katara's head looks too long. I do like Katara's hand, though. Hands are hard to draw >:(

LOL I suck at shading. Like, really bad. xD Drawing the source of light is all good and stuff, but what if the light is upwards, behind them and to the right? That's where it was supposed to be, and I just had hell trying to figure out where the shadows were supposed to go. x_x

But I'll try that, haha. And I'll try to make Aang's ear a little bigger, too.

And thanks, about the hand. I'm really proud of it cuz it only took me one try to draw like that xD

About them looking stiff, I think they look stiff to me because their bodies are perpendicular to the ground. I think Katara and Aang should be leaning forward a bit (like when they kissed in DOBS) And maybe you could make Katara's clothes look a bit more loose.

Ah. Okay. I'm actually going to try to design some new clothes for Katara, some nice dress or something because her battle clothes don't look very romantic, in my opinion. That is, it'll be stuff that she wears like, after the war, in the leisure of her house or whatever, you know? xD But if I draw her in battle, then yea I'll use her battle clothes.

Okay, first of all, did you even read past the first WORD in my video description?

Secondly, I don't know why anyone would tell me that. Do you honestly think that I could make him taller than her as a MISTAKE? Do you honestly think that, after 3 years of watching the show and KNOWING that he WAS shorter than her, and hours upon hours spent animating this, I could ACCIDENTALLY make Katara tiptoeing to reach him? Be like, "Oops"? Seriously, now. Sorry for being so rude, but come on.

Second, to answer your question in the info, I'm not sure. It's hard to tell from this. On the one hand, if you had given a choice between this and an amv I would have said amv. But on the other hand, I can see you getting really good at this and I understand the need to just try out a new program and get some feedback. So, I guess I'm looking forward to what you throw at us next. :)

I definitely don't think this particular animation is better than my AMVs, either, but I'm sure once I work harder at it I'll get better at it and then the ability for me to create unique videos that are original in the sense that they were completely created and animated by me will be worth a lot more than just editing other people's animations :)

For people with advanced editing programs who can chroma-key out the green and put something in the background. The green just makes it really easy because the program only needs to take out that one solid color.

Lol yea, I put more detail into the drawing that I put on DeviantArt, but then I didn't want to have to do the shading all over again in Flash, several times over for all the frames, and so I just left it like this x)

But yea, hopefully now that I've learned my lesson it'll be better next time! Remember, though, all the detail I put into it will have to be repeated over and over for each frame, so that's another reason why animators like to keep it as simple as possible. xD

the only thing that was off was Katara's face it wasnt that detailed, but it was detailed enough to know that it was Katara , another thing would be that to show a little indication that they aged, like maybe katara can have a new hairstyle, and it grew long enough to have a braid in the back, and Aang....actually ur aang was pretty good, but the ear is a little bit small XD but the animation was awesome!

As for her hairstyle, I like it ._. Lol. If anything bugged me, it was her clothes. WHY IS SHE WEARING HER OLD 'BATTLE' CLOTHES?! Hahaha but then I had already drawn it like that and was too lazy to think of something new for her.
