the pagani zonda is a great car so what if its an amg engine but 2 milleseconds is something to be proud of but i hink if a koenigsegg did the green mile it probably would have done it a few seconds longer but woulda came out in the corners faster the carrera same thing but 2 ms isnt that much of a lead that could be broken today tomorrow or any other day

Did anyone else notice how the Zonda F has the record at only 10 seconds faster than the Z06 Vette. Makes one wonder what the new ZR1 Vette (with its 150hp extra, and less weight to carry) will run on "The Ring". What a black eye that would be if a $100,000 car had the record.

It will be interesting in deed.I wonder if the newer vette will still run a live rear axel. Very early days for the new GTR though. It posted 7:38 at the ring before it's release, and at a brilliant price in comparison. Thats a base GTR too, a production car. They also release x amount of z tunes every year - look out Vette and Porsch

LOL, the car on "The Ring" was the GTR prototype. The production car hasn't done a run yet. Also, "newer vett will still run a live rear axel". Also the Z06 was a full production trim with the old rear springs. The new ones are said to be better, but I guess I will stop responding to this comment since vettes don't run live rear axels, LOL.

Live rear axel, LOL. The GTO, Solstice, and 2009 Camaro don't even use live axels any more.

The Corvette has had IRS since the C2 generation. That's IRS since 1963. So u were only of by 44 years.

I'd rather own the Zonda. Both are very rare but I've seen a few CGT's but never a zonda. It's look and sound and overall engineering are amazing. But if someone threw me the keys to the CGT I would definitely not let them hit the ground! Both are amazing cars.

I personally would rather own a Porsche . It has a better social statement I think . like if you were say driving in the pagoni people would see it and think wow look at that guys car! But if your going down the highway in a Porsche there's more chance that there gona recognize it and have a more enthusiastic reaction . Another reason I would want a Porsche more for would be because there's a higher chance that body kits would be available for it and tuners are my favourite category of cars .

Actually "the green hell" refers to the Nordschleife of the Nürburgring. The Nürburgring itself consists of the Nordschleife (20,8 km) (northern loop) and the GT race track (~4,6 km). The Gesamtstrecke (combined tack) is for instance used at the 24 hours race.

Carrera GT... one, just to go with the minority here... and two, because althought it may not hold the current record on the Green Hell, it's off by only a fraction of a second! Who cares?!?! The Porsche is very well appointed on the interior and is actually quite luxurious compared to the Pagani.... plus, it's a ton of fun to drive and has a wicked exhaust note. Plus, it's styling lines are better... less.. weird-looking!
