  • @guitarmikey2 How much is the ratio of inches to feet for the outer layer? (For example the inner layer is 1 inch = 1 foot)

  • i liked this, good video, been making bracelets myself for a while now, and like you said @6:12 that's pretty much what it is :D thanks!

  • @drjohn123451 for reg./inner bracelet about 1 in =1 foot of para-cord.

  • It's very simple when it's explained well, thanks for the vid.

  • That finished one at the end with the desert tan is sweet, look forward to making one soon. Thanks for the tutorial man.

  • If u pull a little white cord out of one of your colors and cut it. Then melt one end of the other color . You can slip that end into the end that u hollowed out. Then melt it with a lighter. That's what i do it works great

  • Nice Spyderco! is that a Delica?

  • Hey thanks for the vid on this one Mike!!

  • Hey I'm 13 and I have a small rist and if

I want the bracelet to be kind of snug on my rist could I use 7 feet of paracord or is that to little or to much or just right?

  • How do you do that knot on the end opposite to where the loophole is?

  • This is an easy weave but you do it the hard way.

  • @atrossman49250 how?

  • dude you rock i got this in one day some other videos are horrible but you explain this very well ty for the help keep doing your thing...

    from Tommy nyc

  • I know this is probably fairly variable, but how much cord is used in the first layer of cobra knotting? Probably a bit longer cord in the second? Reason I ask is these aren't going to be just for pretties. I wonder what you'd think of making the first and "King" layer contiguous; one long length -first and second layer... so the wearer can have a longer piece of 550 to work with in case of need. Thanks for the great vid! Very informative! A+!

  • @fireguardburnt That is a great idea. Lots of people have done it before, and yes it works just fine. It takes a very long piece of cord though! Good luck!

  • how much paracord should be used for this? like if the diameter of my wrist were to be 6in, how much would i need to do the king cobra?

  • How do you tie the end?

  • thanx for the demo!!! I ordered some 550 and 1/2" buckles today I'll give your advise a go, I'm sure it'll work out I already know how to tie the regular cobra knot so this shouldn't be too difficult for me.

  • does it make weaving more manlier if i'm drinking beer at the same time?

  • Thanks! I I've been looking for a way to stiffen up the handle on my edc bag. I think this is how to do it.

  • how much the cord do you have to use to cover a 7.5 bracelet.

  • Thanks brother. Men CAN be crafty!!!

  • Good video...just starting out and have a lot to learn.

  • @seppyTv

Paracrode is a type of thin rope used in parachutes

  • wtf is paracord?

And where in Norway can I purchase it? (what is it used for?)

  • @guitarmikey2 or it could be called what it originally is called. A solomon bar.

  • I don't see why you make the extra loop when you are knotting it. You are making it confusing. Just bring one part over, put the other on top, bring it through the one loop, and tighten. Much easier.

  • Comment removed

  • i tried fusing them like that but was never able to so i came up with my own way. you get one strand of paracord pull out the white strands, not a lot maybe two inches to be safe cut them off and you should have a hollow tip of paracord then you get the other strand and push it inside the other then melt the them both together you might even use some superglue to make sure.

  • EVERYONE GO TO FACEBOOK AND LOOK UP THE PAGE CUSTOM PARACORD ACCESSORIES!!!!!!! WE MAKE GREAT PRODUCTS WITH GREAT PRICES. WE MAKE A HUGE VARIETY OF STUFF AND HAVE A MASSIVE VARIETY OF COLORS LOOK US UP AND PLACE YOUR ORDERS!!!!!!!!!

  • Nice video. How do you make it so that it can be adjusted on your wrist? Where you can loosen and tighten it

  • So it is the same as cobra but just on top ?

  • what length paracprd did you use?

  • I've been sewing my paracord together but I never tried melting them. I just tried it and it really holds! Thanks for the tip.

  • If u ever want to get rid if that bracelet u showed at the end contact me

    It looks sweet

  • where do u get your paracord

because i went to dicks and they didn't know what i was talkin about

  • @willferguson321 The best place to get it is online. Army surplus stores carry it sometimes.

  • @guitarmikey2 I buy mine on Amazon. It's about as cheap as it gets there.

  • @willferguson321 check REI you might not find one if you dont live in cali but if you do they have an aisle of differrent cords

  • @willferguson321 ebay 3.45 for 50ft

  • @willferguson321 really? thats just embarassing... I get mine through REI

  • @willferguson321 REI as well

  • @Tcald2212 thing is about REI is that its mostly just utility cord not paracord. but you can buy a pre made bracelet from them

  • @willferguson321 i found some at gun and knife shows recently all different colors and lengths. seemed to be decent prices to me

  • you could just do a reef knot or square knot on the rope your tying on

  • Can anybody help me out how do u put the single color stripe in the weave I have tried for days on how to do it!!!!!!

  • i think the bracelets are cool.... but... what if you made a belt using the king cobra knot and then have the belt buckle be a climbing carabiner? It would be the most useful belt you would ever use if you had to! Very nice vid by the way! enjoyed it greatly and learned something too!

  • i think these would make good dog collars

  • Blow on em pfffffffffffffff pffffffffffffffffff

  • spyderco sucks benchmade ftw

  • Thank you for the vid! Easy to do and makes a cool bracelet that keeps you prepared by having paracord with you at all times.

  • Lol I looove this! Aha! Craft time for men :)

  • where do u get para cord

  • @TheVoidFox I got mine on Ebay,But there are websites you can get them on.

  • @TheVoidFox Cabela's

  • @guitarmikey2 couldn't u just fuse the rope like u said 2 make it 2 colored but then make it around just a normal starter like with a plain cobra stich

  • @TheVoidFox yup you could do that.

  • An excellent video, thanks for making it. I want to make 2 carrying straps, each about 15 inches long, for my archery bag. Do you have any suggestions how I might make a similar strap to yours but with 3 or 4 lengthwise strands of paracord instead of 2 ? Thanks, Pete

  • Mikey, what do you do, when you get to the end? Do you cut it and burn it onto the existing cobra or what? Thanks

  • How can you add a dog tag to your bracelet???????

  • I would like to know if you can make a video on how to make the inside diffrent colors

  • @THECOOLESTMARINEEVER You do it the same way as what I show in this video. Thanks for watching!

  • @guitarmikey2

How can you add a dog tag to your bracelet???

  • @THECOOLESTMARINEEVER To do it duo tone, you just have to attach two different colors of paracord and then do your weaving.

  • What stores sell paracord?

  • @mrjon54321ify Real 550lb min tested Type III Paracord is only $5 for a 100' Hank at Paracordmaster com

  • I'm not a survival enthusiast but I just love the way this thing looks can you use and cord by the way?

  • @SoldierK4 amazon has a ton of paracord and its cheap

  • LOL. Men's craft time. Love it. Great video. Very entertaining and informative. I always wondered how the bigger bracelets were made. Thanks. Oh, and make all the S's you want.

  • just wondering where did you purchased the 550 cord from?

  • If you pay attention you do not need the first loop in your cord. the one that you are putting the other side of the cord over then going under the bracelet then back up from under...... the first hole falls away when you pull everything taught!just go under and through the second loop and you save a ton of time

  • Kraft time for men made me lol. Great vid mate.

  • 550 cord=paracord right?

  • how do u do the duo tone with the cobra knot so u have two colors?

  • this is a great video! i cant wait to buy some more paracord and try this out!

  • can you do this without putting it over the original bracelet

  • @taylorlester180

Dog collar. That's not a bad idea. I may do that when I get my dog. :)

  • I wish you would have just drove/flew over to my house and made these for me instead of making a free youtube video how to... Gosh you're SO lazy! LMAO Cool viddy I do it a little different but attain the same result.

  • did this on a bracer that wa sslightly to big, did my first 3 today :) Shackels were pretty tricky to do good but otherwise this was fucking brilliant, thanks alot!

  • Try three layers, it makes a great dog collar or belt

  • do you need double the length b/c you are covering a larger area, how do you determine how much cord you need . Thanks for the tips, My kids and I are having a blast working together on Bracelets. Good times. Thanks

  • @Billyboler Sorry man, I don't really have a good formula to use, I just try to over-estimate a little bit. But yeah, I think you need about 1.5 times the amount of cord you would use on a regular cobra knot. Hope this helps! Glad it's been a source of some good quality family time!

  • @Billyboler the best formula is 1 foot of paracord = 1 inch of the braid then add 1 1/2 inches for safety

  • @Billyboler use 10 feet for a cobra weave and use 20 feet for a king kobra weave and you usually want to add 1.5 inches to your normal wrist size, because it is thicker and takes up more space.

  • @Billyboler For every 1 inch you measure for your wrist, you need 1 foot. So if your wrist is 7 inches you need 7 feet for the regular cobra braid. For the king cobra, you need double(14 feet). I usually add 5 inches on afterwards just in case

  • great craftmanship my friend, its really helpful, thanks

  • as i can see or as i CAN'T see?

  • do you need to do the cobra and then the king cobra on top? or can you just do the king cobra?

  • omg man

  • Not only for guys! I am doing a couple for my husband for our anniversary. Hopefully he can use them when he deploys. The ones I am doing will have a buckle though. :)

  • I wish your camera wasn't out of focus the entire time.

  • @ericmathison1 So do I, but it was all I had at the time.

  • @ericmathison1

the camera was out of foucas

  • this looks more like a simple cobra weave.. doesn't king cobra double over on itself?

  • @violantfury yes it does. did you watch the whole video?

  • @guitarmikey2 ....lol no, I'm sorry.. I realized that after I posted that comment, sorry :/

  • @violantfury No biggie :) Have a great day!

  • Nice job Mikey.

  • lol Bewitched in the background.

  • Pretty sweet idea doing it over another one. Good vid, man!

  • you can find this stuff at army surplus stores or some sports stores. or you can just buy them online from alot of different sites.

  • @TheBassgorilla Check out this guy I found on ebay, he shipped it out really fast and had great communication. He has quite a few different colors with apparently a bunch more colors to come.

Go on ebay and search for: 50 ft ~ 550 Paracord ~ US made ~ para cord parchute 50'

    (His user name is mrredwings9mtb)

  • Craft time for men. Hoorah!!!

  • Nice Spyderco.

  • you probably should invest in a camera with autofocus. otherwise, great job!

  • is there someone snoring in the background?

  • could u do this with one long piece of paracord?if so how long should the paracord be?

  • @Jorddyyy1 it's parachute cord, also called paracorde. That's what's used, just look it up on google if you want to buy it, good luck to you all :) oh, and nice video, loved it

  • Nice job man but I must say a little part of all men died when you said "craft time for men" For that I must ask for your man card sir! LOL good work!

  • @dallas0101 Lol, my apologies to men everywhere hahaha

  • Hi guys, what kind of material is used for this, well what's the best, or isit just lace lol gimmie a shout about it, thanks

  • Sportsman's Guide catalog has 550 paracord. 300 feet for 22.00. Come in four colors.

  • I used a medium size fishing swivel for a clasp. It works great and plus I am carrying an extra swivel.

  • very nice! thanks for the video..on my way to get some cord and try to make some myself..

  • Where can you get the 550 cord??

  • Spyderco!!!!!

  • what is the cord ratio for the king cobra, i know it is about 1 foot of cord per 1 inch or bracelet. what is it for the king cobra?

  • craft time for men ahahaha. thanks for the videos. alot more fun to make them rather than buying them online.

  • Thanks sooo much for dumbing that down for me i thought the cobra stitch was something completely different and i was dying to make the duo tone and i COULD NOT find a video that made it this clear thanks again :)

  • i have two of these!! one of them is white para. and purple camo para. then my other one is neon yellow & neon pink paracord. i love them. they are really really sturdy, but the only downside: they shrink when you put them in water. thank goodness the person who made them for me told me that before i went swimming in them. haha :))

  • thanks! vid was a big help! did all mine in black and coyote tan

  • How much cord do you need in order to make the king cobra? I know you use about 10" for every inch of bracelet when you do the regular cobra knot.

  • @dudubomber05

i used about 10 feet to tie a 6 inch bracelet. i putt each knot really tight and had about 6 inches left on each rope when done.

  • @dudubomber05

i used about 10 feet to tie a 7 inch bracelet. i putt each knot really tight and had about 6 inches left on each rope when done.

  • @elaiel. Why don't you ask a Marine in Iraq if it's manly. Lots of soldiers make these to pass the time. If you needed to construct an emergency shelter that cord could come in handy. Also the core has 7 fine strands that would work as fishing line in a pinch. You must be one of those people who go on YT and tells everyone that their talents suck.

  • @plumberjoe80 nicely said plumberjoe :)

  • @guitarmikey2 Thanks for the video and explanation. I also have found the S loop unnecessary, but that's not a criticism.

Has anyone tried reversing at the bottom of the Cobra layer rather than cutting and starting over at the top for the King Cobra? This would give you a longer piece of cord.

I have done the Cobra braid a couple of times; it's a bummer to see that you missed a wrap in the middle.

Your "wife has the TV blaring in the next room." Sounds like she's trying to get your attention

  • @dptroutt yes you can reverse the knot and go back over your first run quite easily. It works great. Missed a wrap in the middle? She may have been trying to get my attention, but I really don't think so. I told her to turn the t.v. up loud so she couldn't hear me talking in the next room. Thanks for watching.

  • @plumberjoe80 - not only can you use the small strands for fishing line you can also use it for setting primitive traps and with a little mud and charcoal you can may a sweet trip line to set off just about any booby trap imaginable! learned this trick from onPoint Tactical Scout Tracking and Survival School [mk]

  • @plumberjoe80 Any TRUE survivalist, camper, will benefit from this!

  • Great video! I have been wanting to make a rifle sling for some time! This makes the best rifle, and shotgun sling i can think of! Thanks!

  • dude.. where do you buy the materials to do all this? I Really like ur work, and i wanna start making my own bracelets! :)

    Thanks! ^_^

  • @william111190 I get the paracord online or at army surplus stores. I get my buckles on ebay.

  • "..manly looking bracelet" is that even possible?

  • *hide

    Not "hit"

  • Kinda unrelated to the video but could you make a video showing good ways to hit the burns where you fuse the cord together? This is the one thing I struggle with when making these bracelets. It's like every time I look down there is a big burn mark from where I fused the cord together. This would be great help, other people might benefit from it too.

Thanks and Keep up the great videos!

  • People make that cobra stich 10 times harder than it needs to be you don't need to make an "S" Go into the google search box and put "how to make a paracord bracelet" and click the first link, it shows you an easy fast an very simple way to do the cobra stich........

  • @TrueOutdoorsMan16 This is the way I learned to do it, so this is the way I showed how to do it on the video. I'll waste my time making the "S" and you can waste yours making comments like this. I think making the "S" is a very simple and easy way to remember how to do it. It's not 10 times harder. That's a big exaggeration. I can't stand comments like this. If you want to make a video of an easier way to do it, then get to it bubs! Don't waste space in my comment section!

  • nice knife :D

  • For every inch you use a foot of paracord for ex. You want a 7 in bracelet you use 7feet of cord.

  • ur focus isnt that bad..i enjoyed watchin ur making of the survival bracelet. as a 56 yr old strioke survivor, i still get out in the woods alot just not as far/fast as i used to. because og limited use in one hand i was wondering what u would charge to make one for me and send to me in canada? keep making good vids i love 2 watch. thx karen

  • To add on to my last comment I just did a triple. It is a bit bulky to wear, but it would make a great lanyard. The weave is 8.5" long and uses a 25' single length of cord.

  • The single length cord is the same principal. I just made my first bracelet and decided to king it with a single length. Rather than starting over just continue on from the bottom back up over the work you just did. I used just over 20' and came up short of the 7" mark I wanted to hit. I got 7" out of the single cobra and 6" from the double. Make sure you go a little long on your cord and you'll be fine. Thanks for teaching me Mikey! Going to start on my second now!

  • Whats the ratio of how many feet of paracord vs how many feet you get out of it? Do you know because I'd like to make some bigger ones for calls but I wouldn't know how many feet I'd need.

thanks man great video focus is whatever you tried.

  • thats a sinnet of square knots?

  • Can you make a video showing how to make a king cobra bracelet with a single length of paracord so maybe I can keep a 15' piece of solid cord?

  • "Craft time for men" Lol! Been makin' these for years. Just started using curved side release buckles in them though. Makes it a lot easier to get them on/off when you're groggy/tired!! Cool vid man, Thanks!

  • So the under layer and upper layer are not connected?

  • So the under layer and upper layer are not connected?

  • what kind of cord do you use to make these bracelets?it looks almost like you're using shoe laces,I'd like to try to make some of those but I wanna make sure that I get the right thing to make these types of bracelets first

  • never mind the answer to my question is in the name of ur vid lol I had no idea that it was paracord

  • To jest głupie nie ma nic do survivalu

  • well its also not just a bracelet its a great way to keep your rope kept neatly together so when ur camping or out in the back contry its quick and easy to get off ur wrist and use

  • Awesome video it helps alot! I see all of my friends with these bracelets. I want one very badly and now I know how to make one. Thanks alot awesome video.

  • Where can i fin 550 para cord? i'm making some knifes and i dont have anything for a handle, no good sstring that would work.

  • thats very cool, just made my first bracelet, i like the king cobra because with the single cobra i used about 6' of cord, with the king i bet it would be getting close to 15', well thanks for the tutorial bud!

  • Very nice tutorial, helped me a lot. Thanks.

    Best regards from Sweden.

  • use a magnifying glass to focus it up close

  • Awesome Vid!!

  • where can i find para cord?

    great vid btw

  • @AnUglyAmerican you can get it at sport stores if ur mil u can get it at the base pretty easy

  • It seems a bit sinister when the video starts and all you see is a knife, a lighter and some paracord....

    lol

    Thanks for the vid.

  • Thanks for your videos bro! I've started making my own and ones for family and friends! I plan on making these for people while i'm if afghanistan as well!
