What a marvelous Rigoletto. i feel so privileged to have heard this fine singer who is not much known in the west at all.

@arpeggio1358 Interestingly, in Russia I heard him mostly singing songs in popular concerts rather than opera. I had known that he was an opera singer too, but when they showed him on tv, it was mostly in concerts. It wasn't crossover as he didn't mix genres but rather two different sides of him with the same great voice. Wish they had shown more of him in opera.

@jewelmarkess This is just stunning! Such an emotional and expressive singing! Interestingly enough, I feel absolutely the same that you write here. He is really more associated in my mind too with popular concerts and singing songs like "You are my melody, I'm your faithful Orpheus..." I also remember his amazing singing Figaro's cavatina, but really not much of opera performances. He was a great artist and never mixed genres. I guess we are so lucky that we rediscover this great singer on YT!
