I never once suggested that she was making "mere statements". I believe and support her advice/suggestion to "black" people--that parents need to help their children to make good decisions, so they can be healthy and responsible adults one day. I'm sure some will take this treasure box of wisdom and run with it. As far as feeling proud and blessed, I feel the same way about being born in Africa--it helps me view things from diverse perspectives, and it's very enlightening to say the least.

The Dems not only lost 6% of their own people but they've lost most of the 31.6% that voted for them as well. This isn't a race issue as the NAACP would like to portray it. It's an anti-socialism issue.

I finally graduated with a Bachelor of Science. so I am confused about why government will force me to pay for someone elses

The two Russ Carnahan supporters and SEIU members also called Kenneth the n-word as they bashed him into the cement. The NAACP has not admitted this happened, much less denounced it.

When one writes a speech or a paper for any class (from grade school through college), your teacher reminds you to be aware of (identify) your AUDIENCE. Mrs. Obama embarked on this mission about health many months ago (and it was...and is on the NATIONAL level). The program is called "M.O.V.E." There are many speeches on this same topic where she addresses a "national audience". If it sounds like she is speaking to only "blacks" here, it's because they are her rightly identified audience. :-)

As far as feeling proud and blessed, I feel the same way about being born in Africa--it helps me view things from diverse perspectives, and it's very enlightening to say the least.

It's great to be American, but based on education alone, I could be equally accomplished in Africa when I decide to return. I'm aware of the fact that little good has been portrayed through the media over the years, but there exists the "good, bad, ugly" and beautiful. Obama promised Hope and Change. A lot on Indepedent white folk bought in to that message and voted for him. Now they see what a real liberal looks like and can no longer support him. There's been a 6% decline in the number of adults that identify themslves as Democrats in the 18 months that Obama's been in office.
35.4% identify as Democrats (declining)
33% identify as Republicans (increasing)
31.6% don't identify with either party (increasing)
The Dems not only lost 6% of their own people but they've lost most of the 31.6% that voted for them as well. This isn't a race issue as the NAACP would like to portray it. It's an anti-socialism issue.
