I was so traumatized when Beckett died- he was such an amazing character and though I loved "Sunday" I couldn't see why he had to leave. Jewel's a great actress, but she will never replace Paul for me.

I can't wait for the eps with him! It's like waiting for "Abyss" and "The Changeling" all over again. (a little SG-1 reference there.) I can only hope they bring Paul back the way they did Michael Shanks.

13 seasons of writing and people still complain, it is the nature of the beats, but i refuse to be a conformist to the unappreciative fans that whine if things dont go the way they had them in their head. This is a fantasy world, not the real one. It triggers an emotional response to the characters, which sometimes translates to the real man, thus this video and the following.Doesnt mean the writers are bad; simply means we must feel heart broken for a character and hope he comes back.

Yet another SG-1 actor sacrificed to the lousy writing talent of SG-1 writers who don't know how to develop characters properly, so when their "talents" fail them, their solution is to kill off the character for a ratings boost, or make them a reoccuring character. I hope to God Atlantis tanks in season 4.

The show will not tank, people love stargate because of the amazing character development, thus SG-1 survived so long, because the writers have built an amazing group of well developed characters. Characters die, but if you actually watch stargate then you know it is usually a temporary stop when they are loved.
