step 1. find a location where you can build without, city, neighbor or police hassling you. Step 2. Draw & cut your trannys as if you were building a quarter pipe. Step 3. connect trannies with a couple 2x4's set 2 inches below the arch of transitions, leaving enough room for 2 inch layer of crete. Step 4. Form up the inside of your quarter pipe with blocks, rock, sand, shells, anything that is a solid will work & free filler is always the best.
Step 5. You can cut a 3 to 4 inch seam where the tranny meets the flat to give a flush seam & will avoid chipping and cracking. Step 6. Once you pack enough filler up to the 2x4 ribs, zip tie a piece of wire mesh to the 2x4's, this should still be within the 2 inch space under the arch of the tranny.
Step 5. You can cut a 3 to 4 inch seam where the tranny meets the flat to give a flush seam & will avoid chipping and cracking. Step 6. Once you pack enough filler up to the 2x4 ribs, zip tie a piece of wire mesh to the 2x4's, this should still be within the 2 inch space under the arch of the tranny.
Step 7. Drill 3 or 4 holes on the side of your template to insert 1 ft long rebar pieces so that you can attach wire mesh to your next section and connect the 2 quarters. Step 8. Use a mix of 1 bag of 5000 psi crete plus 1 shovel full of Portland, wheelbarrel & hoe work best, mix 2 bags at a time and mix thick, start packing it in at the bottom and work your way up. Screte with a 2x4, start at the bottom and work your way up, trowel away & once it starts to set you can mist with water.
