The Story, the Soundtrack, the Style... near Perfect! and so Mindblowing! Only Christopher Nolan can do a Film like this in times of Blockbusters. I hope Nolan come back from Blockbuster's to film's like this :-). But his Blockbuster where also really good.
Was Nolan trying to grasp the idea of Following by following others before making this film?=] I once had the idea of following strangers when I'm very young, but never did this. Interesting theme anyway.
chris nolan made it for 6000$ (basically the cost of film stock and processing it); shooting 15mins every saturday for over a year.a product of an ultimate love for film
Ahh, this BRILLIANT piece of work by my boy Nolan was the blueprint for Memento. It's an excellent debut and calls forth some of Nicholas Roeg's earlier works. Christopher Nolan is the man.
Christopher Nolan has never had a bad film, his career is enviable in that regard.

@cyrus234
I'm sure Nolan did something similar. The best filmmakers always end up doing weird and innovative things on their way to the top.

kinda reminds me of Memento how his speaking is kinda syncopated

@fourclaws Well said, its said to see the money hollywood pours into garbage. when a guy like Nolan can make a masterpiece with almost nothing.

on the film itself, when the two main characters visit the writer's apt. to try to rob it.
eduardomayen1 3 years ago

Made for only $6,000! That was probably just the cost for film...he got the 16mm camera for free.
To go from a $6,000 budget then to 180 million in just 8 years is insane...
