For PSone that scene with Lisa is incredibly powerful. The most tear jerking part is when she blinks as the blood trickles into her eye, it makes her seem so real.

Game developers were very cunning back then; they made great use of anything they could in order to make games realistic and immersive.

Silent Hill is by far the scariest game ever. But I think it lost a lot of its charm with the next gen graphics. Part of the terror in the original games was that the monster looked so messed up and we didn't know what it really was; there was mystery to it.

it looks like what cutscenes you get for eileen depend on how she's fared up to that point (how much damage she has taken (bad), how much you leave her alone (bad), and probably some other stuff too) you can tell how she's doing by how wounded she looks, as well as how often she becomes possesed. i got a different cut scene instead of this one, probably because i kept her healthyer than she is here, which looks pretty bad. also, it seems you can heal her with holy candles
