i think he just pointed the camera at the monitor. its called video feedback. the difference of course between this and frippertronics is the length of the delay. the charm of frippertronics is in the physical set-up, the actual physical displacement of sound between tape record head and playback head, and the resultant time shifts and analog fuzziness that occurs in that process.
