  • Hi skippyisreal! Sorry it's taken me so long to reply. Yes, some of the work is for sale, but many are sold or have been given to family. message me if you have any of my work in mind. :D

  • Was that the Pergamon museum in Berlin?

  • Hi phaedress!

If I'm looking at the correct image I think you're referring to, it's the British museum. Berlin is somewhere I've always wanted to visit and after googling the Pergamon museum I wanna go more! Looks amazing! :D

  • The one with the NeoGrecian gate with a glass roof above it. The Pergamon is awesome.

  • Yup That's it! It's called 'Mosaic Skies'. I'm not sure if the NeoGrecian gate is as big. From the photos I saw of the Pergamon, theirs is colossal!

  • wow!!!i love your drawings and the sculptures, reminds me of "nici de saint phalle" and "frida calo"!did you study art or something? think you got one fan more;) this video shows all of your creativity, it's really awsome!

  • AWWW! Thank you Lisa! I did study art, but it has always been a passion for me. So glad that you liked my work :D!

  • You got interesting graphics...very beautiful vid!

  • Thank you so much for your great comments ButterFlo! I really appreciate that you checked out my portfolio. :D

  • wow, you are a VERY talented individual! Keep up the awsome work!!

  • Thank you QiwiMan! Very nice of you to say ;)!

  • good stuff

  • Thank you mobcoke :).

  • you are a complete artist. i shouldnt have left her (art) ;its been 16 years since I left her for another profession...Maybe 'art' and I can tango together once again? :) really enjoyed your work (btw im korean too)

  • Hi moreshige2! Pleased to meet you! Yeah you need to definitely go back to 'her'...at least for a visit now and again ;)! Thanks btw!

  • Fascinating... Beautiful! All of it. Though if pressed I'd have to say the shadows with the white masks (red and yellow hair) at 0:49 is my favorite.

  • Thank you adosegnaro! That piece is called 'Idle chatter'. I'm pleased you like my work!

  • Hmmmm... I've actually never much liked idle chatter... kinda quiet myself. Quite an artist to make it into a favorite! :)

  • Yeah adosegnaro!... niether do the folks in the painting...it's more like how we hide it behind grinning masks. LOL! Thanx for saying I'm quite an artist!

  • Well, that explains why I like it then! I won't retract the "quite", even though the explaination is more likely. It was quite an understatement on my part, and still is.

To me it looks like a scene in a cave around a fire, the figures shadows cast on the walls. Male on the right, female on the left.

  • The hair on the masks seems aquatic in nature, giving an impression of the duality of fire (casting shadows) and water (hair). The male's hair is yellow and he's staring at the female. Intense, inquisitive. The female's hair is softer, red, and she's turned away. Timid, shy. (Disclaimer: I know nothing of the female mind!) The masks are being taken off. The male intentionally, trying to show his true self, and see her's.

  • The female unintentionally, showing her true nature in the very attempt to continue to hide behind the mask.

Now if you switched them around, left to right, you'd get a completely different message.

(Actually, to be honest, I just thought it was pretty. Reading art is too complicated. My personal reaction on an aesthetic level is much easier to type out, and fit into the YouTube character limit too. Or would be if I hadn't lead into it this way!)

  • Very intriguing critique adosegnaro! You made me re- evaluate my own work! I totally get what yer seeing! Yeah the hair is very corral reef-like isn't it? Yup and if you switch the position of the pieces it's like they want no interaction at all.

LOL! The female mind...Yeah how many timid shy women have you run across lately? These days not many..hehe!Well, I'm glad you were able to delve into the piece beyond the aesthetics of it. Very cool to hear you perspective! Thanks!

  • It's always fun to see someone else's take on things. People constantly suprise me with what they see in my own work (sandsculpture). To me it's about the sand expressing itself, more than anything I did. The only message I try to send is, "I love being at the beach".

As for women... they all are timid and shy around me. (It's more appeasing to the ego to think of it that way, rather than the more likely disinterest.)

  • I just checked out yer vids...I know ya'd think I would've done it sooner, huh? I swear I'm all over the place, editing, watching my friend's vids and making comments and replies...LOL!

Anyway...BEAUTIFUL! I just saw a couple of your vids and I'll comment on them as I go through 'em, but WOW!

  • I'm very flattered that you think so! Doubly so for the content of the second post. (Um... so that's flattered x3!)

Responding to every comment could be a full time job in itself it looks like. ;)

  • Well, let's just say ya shouldn't have any problems findin' someone...especially not after that Renetto Talent contest/singles vid ya did *wink wink jab jab* LOL!

...and yup! I did it to myself y'know! I like talkin' to people and I guess I've turned my vids into chat forums. But it's cool. Met some interesting folks from all walks of life.

  • Ouch! You've got some sharp elbows there. :P

Chat forums with that silly indiscriminate "spam" filter and 500 character limit. Otherwise you might really be in trouble timewise! And the rest of us might miss out on some more wonderful videos...

  • Ouch! Those are some sharp elbows you've got there! :P

These chat forums aren't set up too well for it. The indiscriminant "spam" filter and 500 character limits... ugh. Without them though you might really be in trouble for time. And the rest of us might miss out on some wonderful videos...

  • Hmmmm.. YouTube must have been acting up, it didn't show the first one as going through until after I sent the second. Just ignore one or the other!

  • LOL!!! YT is acting funny...I get a msg that says I have a comment and I go there and nope...hahaha...now you've written just about the same thing twice. And I don't delete comments unless their REALLY offensive so hehehehe....

Anyway, yup I agree with you ... I do have sharp elbows ;P.

No but seriously, yer right this site is here for people to enjoy many wonderful videos. The community aspect was actually something I was surprised to have stumbled upon.

  • ..Oh btw adosegnaro! I think I figured out why the girlies are shy and timid around ya...and trust me I'm pretty sure it's not because they're disinterested. You've got that whole sexy beach bum artist thing goin' for ya! ;)

  • Very talented. And it's great that you've got a wide spectrum of ways you use your art. Did you learn most on your own or at school? I'm guessing both, where did you go to school? Simply amazing.

  • Thanks gal4cal. I appreciate your comment. You are correct in guessing both ;). I've been doing art in one form or another since I can remember.

I received my Fine Arts degree from The University of TX at San Antonio, but went to the University of Houston in the beginning of my college career.

  • for capturing angles^^^^

Wow. See? Your awesome-ness has corrupted my ability to correctly put together a sentence.

  • LOL! Thanx Fuzakeru! I really appreciate yer comments. I know what you mean...fear sucks. To be honest I was gonna cancel the upload a few times, but trust me critiques aren't always a bad thing. I guess we just need to take them as constructive. Afterall, we all have room for improvement, am I right? So by all means share. People will surprise you, and ya might surprise yerself. ;)

  • Aye, I'd have to say the same. Your artwork is amazing. I particularly like the eye you have for capture angles. I'm an artist myself but have failed to find my way in to putting the talents to use. Perhaps I'm scared of critque? I don't know. I admire your courage for displaying yourself through your work so openly That takes a lot of guts. n_n

  • Wow! You are the complete artist package! It must be awesome to actually make a living from your first love. To be an artist...is to live....to make a living from being an artist...is life x 2. I was just scared of getting burned out from working a passion as a livelihood. You are envied for sure!

  • Aw Mellomel! Thank you for such a great comment. I wish I could say that my fine art stuff pays for my survival, but I have to rely on graphic design and actual work work like everybody else...maybe one day. It's definitely the goal for sure.

  • So glad you fessed that up to us all...now we don't have to envy youz! Lol....Whew!

  • LOLz!

  • Very good artwork, I like it alot.

  • Cool bigfishead! I'm glad you liked it! :D

  • i enjoyed it

  • Thank you dontmissout! I appreciate you takin' the time to watch my vid! :)

  • Your Artist Portfolio speaks, and whispers, its impression with a clarity that requires several hours of concentration. Why do we stand in the gallery looking in quite solitude at art? I also see a touch of modern and geometric design. If what I saw on a small laptop computer makes me want to go to a venue to view it you have accomplished your art. You are an extremely talented lady. That's why I continue to extend my visits to your secret YouTube world.

  • Thanks so much etauqe! I have been totally MIA for a while now I hope to add more vids to my "secret YouTube world" in the next couple of days. Hope I don't disappoint. Thanks for all of your nice words and I'm glad you stumbled across my vids...even if they are a bit dorky and artsy :P

  • Thanks Carrie! The song is 'Ooh La La' by Goldfrap...I like it too. They have other songs that are pretty cool :)

  • Very nice work. You are very artistic! What song is that you used? I really like it.

    Carrie

  • remix of dali, that stuffs the stuff.

  • Why thank ya consensusSapientium! It was a response painting to an artist of our choice...after painting that I could kinda see why Dali was a li'l loopy...hehe ;)

  • You have an awesome amount of talent! I felt a genuine feeling of envy and covetousness while watching your work go by. I wanna be you when I grow up.

  • brendafohio, your comment has brought such a smile to my face :D! After viewing a couple of your videos I can't help but be utterly flattered and humbled. Your art is wonderful! LOL! Never grow up!...being a kid at heart is much more fun!

  • Phenomenal work! Love it all. Lot's of subtle and not so subtle symbology :)

  • Thank you so much Minniver...coming from someone with such a great eye, yer comment really means a lot :D!

  • wow you're really talented! I like your stuff :D

  • Thank you DebbieWebbiekins! glad you enjoyed my art.. :)

  • Oh my gosh. You are SOOOOO ready to work in video. Your self-portrait at 1:37 of this video is very, very good. Dan

  • Thanx Dan! I appreciate yer comment :)

  • wow, that's great work. i had no idea you made flash games also, whoda thunk.

  • yup jaromo7! I've gotten into doing fun little graphics for a few Flash games...I like Flash...so much you can do with that program.

  • Impressive, most impressive...I I I stand humbled before you

  • Thank you rhfreelance...I'm the one who's humbled REALLY! Your creativity and work is very impressive. Thanks for sharing your sketchbook.

  • impressive work. Can you design me a tattoo?

  • Sure Grizzsupreme I can give it a go...what'd u have in mind? Send me a message. :)

  • Very diverse work ; Frida Karlo in the 21st century .

  • Thanks kwbsystems! I appreciate the comparison seein' as Frida Kahlo was such an extraordinary symbolist/surrealist painter.

  • Pixelchick, you rock! I like your art and your blogs are fun. Keep up the vids, I'll be watching!

  • Hey thanks intracoast! I plan to have another vid out here soon and I'm really glad that you enjoy 'em.

  • first off...i love allmost all art (i'm not a big fan of art so abstract you need to sleep with the artist to know what the hell it is)

and as a complete artistic void ( me ) i allways found my self hanging out with artists..(actors, directors, writers, painters and musitions)

this video shows a great deal of talent....

god i sound like a suck up.so i'll stop here.

P.S. i've allways admired ppl who can texture a drawing properly. nicly done with everything in the first 27 seconds.

  • Thanks cykcyko1! I really agree with your first statement. Hillarious how u put it... "you need to sleep with the artist to know what the hell it is"... LOL! In a lot of ways I think the artwork should be able to stand on it's own without the artist having to feed you a buncha shpeel to make you get it. Hopefully the viewer will be able to get something out of the artwork on their own whether it's their own interpretation or just some emotional reaction.

  • LOL! I'm sure yer not an artistic void! If anything it sounds like you appreciate artistic/creative people and have an eye for "a great deal of talent" hehe! Thanks again for yer kind words and interest in my art!

  • Cool. I like your work. How's are artists perceived differently than the US? I'm an asian from NY so I had to laugh when you said someone asked you... "Does your mom know?"

  • Thanx eddiesouth!Hmmm let's see...this could be a whole videoblog in itself but to kinda sum it up... artists in Europe vs. the US (in my experience)...well it just seems there's not as much preconceived notions of the 'idea' of an artist here in Europe..in fact it's like any other profession in a way.

  • LOL! Too funny eddiesouth. Yeah u know those asian moms ...usually they want their kids to be a doctor or lawyer. They can be ruthless sometimes too! Mine's a lovely lady don't get me wrong but at 4'11" she still terrifies me at times...LOL! :D

  • you're good at drawing.. cool

  • Thanks esjohan!

  • I mean Johan ;).

  • Loved your self portraits. I especially liked the one with the POV looking up at your 3/4 profile. Your pen and ink work isn't bad either. Since I'm red/green color blind that was my favorite media when I did drawing.

  • Thanks DoctorZ! That painting was of my older sis...I was attempting to do a Vermeerish looking portrait. I've always found pen and ink to be very challenging because it's not as forgiving of errors as alot of other art materials. It would be great to see some of your work.

  • Oops! DrZ I think you may have been referring to my digital self portrait...Teehee:). Thank u either way.

  • I love Dali, and I love your stuff, too. Thanks for sharing!

  • Thank you for watching my vid Urgelt! I'm glad you liked my artwork :).

  • Fantastic work. I'm no artist but like what I see. It appears that you also make computer games. Is there no end to your talent. How did you get involved with games? Tell us your story.

  • Thank u vburn! Yeah I figured I'd include those in my digital work. I do some graphics for fun little Flash games that my husband programs. He's a Flash designer/developer and I work with him on all sorts of different web based projects.

  • OMG! There is artist, then there is ARTIST, artist qualify as people who know how to draw, ARTIST qualify as people who CAN draw and draw AMAZING! Your work is AMAZING! You are verrrryy talented!!

  • Yay! What a response...I have the biggest smile on my face right now :D...Thanks DefenseAccount!

  • Oh come on bellatrixia...u totally got that artsy vibe going, with yer cool do... plus u can cut hair, right?...My older sis once asked me to give her a bob and halfway through I was like 'You wanted layers right?'...LOL!

  • Very nice. I am so jealous of people who are able to create. I wish I could do art. I suck at it so bad.

  • Michelle! This is REALLY good stuff. Did you top the class at school? The egg thing struck me as I mentioned, I kinda link it to what you said about being a twin, zygotes and stuff...um yeah. kthankbye! Really nice work : )

  • Um...I graduated Cum Laude :). Thanks Vegankjh!

  • Beautiful work. You are sooo talented!

  • Thank you bunches texas252!

  • Excellent work. Keep it up. My favourites were the paintings at 0.41 seconds, 0.51 seconds and 0.58 seconds - my absolute favourite being the piece 'What came first' which someone else has already mentioned. I thought it was an incredibly powerful image. I noticed that a lot of your art seems to focus on birth and babies. I also really liked the photo at 2.22. I love art that observes normal people in everyday life, it actually inspires me a lot as a writer

  • Oh Shrimp91! See now I gotta do a videoblog in response to yer comment...LOL! Kidding! 0.41 is called 'Impression' and I used rubber stamps for the background images and made myself into a stamp image (one of my many self-portraits while in uni). I had an egg phase (if u didn't notice...LOL!)..yeah strange it was after I did the Dali painting, plus I've always been into human mortality and fragility, hence people in eggs. That particular one was a comment on creation.

  • Oh and Shrimp91 2.22 is called 'One Night at IHOP' (International House of Pancakes). I'm a people watcher and guess I'm not alone 'cus why else would YouTube be doing so well, right? a writer?..COOL! Yup people are inspiring topics in all kinds of artforms.

  • wow! so many different art forms. thats amazing. you're so very creative and talented! :)

  • Thanks briennalauryn! I feel the same way towards you. You are so talented! Your music ability and songwriting skills are so impressive!

  • Very nice set of work. Love the alternative touch, makes a difference amongst all I usually see. Thank you for sharing.

  • Thanks I appreciate yer comment..I had considered just showing a few 'like' pieces, but I'm working out my website portfolio right now and figured I'd just throw in a bunch of stuff. Thank you for watching my vid!

  • Rock on! I love that piece of the clocked figures on night and day. (before te Dail piece)

  • Yup that piece is called 'Twins' it's the idea that although twins look alike they're different as night and day.

  • ah right, cause one twin is evil ;)

  • LOL! Everyone says I'm the evil twin 'cus I actually talk and stand up for myself....but you know what they say about those quiet ones...ya never know what they're thinkin' :). LOL!

  • Maybe you're both the evil twin. Hmmm.

  • Maybe...NOT!Nah my twin is really sweet ...everyone thinks so...ok so maybe I am th evil twin. :(

  • Well -- evil twins have more fun

  • Got that right...LOL!

  • Wow Missy.. fantastic work.. I like the pic at 0.40 Sweet! It 's all great.. but I found a fav.. Les

  • Cool! Thanks Les! Yeah that one is called 'Behind the Masks'...It's one of the larger paintings I did. Glad you found a fav. :)

  • Thanks Michele! Yeah that one is a response painting to Salvador Dali I did for a painting course. It's called 'Incarnation of the Mad Spaniard'...I didn't pick that name...LOL! It's a buncha pieces from different paintings done by the surrealist put together...the figure in the middle coming out of the egg has a little Salvador Dali mustache...bored yet?...oh I could go on...LOL! TTYL!

  • Wow!!!!! Totally awesome Michelle! Thanks for sharing. :-) I especially like the one at 0:52 in the video. (The one with the orange fish).

  • WOW!! you are really tallented, I like them all!! very creative on the cracked egg with the baby, I like that one! :)

  • Thank you DrReaps! That painting is called 'What came first...?' Glad you like my artwork! :D

  • That one struck me for some reason too.

  • Cool Vegankjh...that one seems to be one of the most poular so far. Durring the critique in class a friend of mine mentioned how if you kinda blur yer eyes it resembles a woman's reproductive organs...just throwing that out there...must've been subliminal 'cus I hadn't even done it intentionally.

  • I knew it, your work is the greatest,I love it Michelle. You are very, very talented.I am so glad you are on Youtube.

  • WOW!Thanks steelydrwu...I couldn't have asked for a better first response. Thank you so much!
