Very nice, way to hold your own. Nice control, good groove, hit all the cymbal accents nice and crisply. No one but Weckl is can play like he does. Some are AS good (mayer, s. smith,) none better though. But you did an excellent interpretation and had a nice funky feel of your own.

problem is, the actually sound from the drummer on the video, is not seperated properly from the original soundtrack, so it kinda blens together.. the way liirmb does it in the video response , is a good example on how to do it, and very nice played too :)

Thanks..yeah..that's that vinnie paul snare drum..it's an 8" deep garbage can mic'd with cheap drum mics going straight into my computer..combination of everything for a bad snare sound..lol..I've replaced the snare soon after..couldn't stand it.

only one thing.. I would suggest you to develope stick handling of your left hand because you can extract more power, dynamics and speed if you push it with fingers (not only thumb but also with middle), overall when you have full control of the rebounds.

Maybe you can try develope rolls using moeller strokes...

Reading through the very early comments about your grip from drumteacher28 and watching this vid through for a second time it struck me how similar your grip (both left and right hands)is to Neil Peart's after his work with Freddie Gruber. Especially 0:20 - 0:59. Has he influenced you at all? I know he has a very unorthodox tom layout owing to Gruber's philosophy about circular motion. Excellent job on this tune BTW. It blew me away when I first heard it in 1990.
