@1lady2008 yes of course, it will never STOP it, but it can help slow extreme shedding due to abnormal hormones, or illness, or bad blood pressure etc... HAir HAS to shed, you are so true
@LovelyVincy 2 x week is too much, you want to use it 2x MONTH ! maybe 1 week if you moisturize enough on the other hand, the powders tend to be drying over time, so you want to have a good moisture level...
I know your video is old, but the oils you held up @ the end 4:56, these oils contain MINERAL OIL, which clog your follicles, preventing absorption of other beneficial nutrients. What you can do is infuse the powder into whatever oils you like and that will allow you to still get the nutrients of your powders, also will help with the drying effect on your hair with the amla, let the oil/powder infusion sit for 3-4 days and it will rise to the top, strain the powder and add oil to your poo/cond.
I mixed brahmi &amla powder together and added little water to form a paste. I applied to my scalp and after a while i developed a headache. I think maybe the powder was too concentrated. I like how it left my hair though
I am so happy i found this video! I want to try the Alma and brahmi, and vatika oil, but they do not ship it out here...and i do not know where any indian stores are in Germany, that sucks! Lol...
hey my girl, i am going to Paris in 2 weeks, i don't know if i'll have enough money at that time but i promise i'll try my best to get you at least the amla powder & vatika coconut oil ;-)
I was going thru a phase not to long ago with shedding and the thing that worked for me was giving myself a Cassia Treatment. When I say that my hair felt STRONG...It felt STRONG!!! AND the shedding stopped A LOT!!! All I did was mix some Cassia with ACV, let it sit for a few hrs then applied it from root to tip. Making sure I concentrated on my scalp (for the shedding), left it on for 1/2 hr and WALAAA!!! I love it! Have you tried it?
ok so you only use eggs? i mean eggs are protein, but do you use any thing for moisture? cause my hair loves moisture more than protein, i use eggs every now & then
Thanks a thousand times for sharing, i know there will be a moment where i will be only using my indian stuff ;-)
nunaa: Do I get "megatek" from Indian store only.....I'm glad you gave me good excuse to go inside an indian store, I was always curious..aabout all those smells and scents that resisted me at first in my town Main Street.
Glad you took time to do video....the music sometimes drowns out your voice making it hard to hear you at least concentrate, because the music is very good...yet distracting.
Hi Dancermickey, where is this challenge occuring? i mean where are the rules? i might be doing it (if it is not interferring with the 2 challenges i am currently doing)
Its a challenge I started a couple weeks back. The rules are to only use indian products, But you can use deep conditioners of your choice. But you must use the oils at least 4 times per week and one of these powders 1x a week. The challenge is to your indian products for 3 months and document your progress.
Ah finally a video about indian products! this one will be a hit!
i love indian hair care. i mix coconut and olive oil heat it and apply to hair 10mns. i have noticed less shedding. also i use alma oil and massage scalp
Nothing will stop hair shedding....just about every blood, breathing, haired animal shedds hair. Now... it about maintain mositure and lenth.

You should first apply oil of your choice before you apply your mixture and your hair must be dry when u apply the oil to avoid the dryness

I have a patch on my hair (right in the middle) that does not grow at all, is there something you can recomend???
Smithworks2 3 years ago
there are several things U can try : from wat i personally tried, here is wat can work :
favorite one :
-castor oil : apply on spot every nights before bed, make sure U wash 1x week
-Megatek : mix w/ a carrier oil like castor oil, jojoba or evoo, apply at least 3x week
-Doo gro growth oil : i was using this be4 Megatek & it was quite fine, plan2 go back 2it after megatek challenge
I heard some indian oils like amla or brahmi or mahabringraj are also good but i never tested it on my spots
