  • These guys are both full of shit

  • Next time law enforcement tells him to move along, I bet he won't be quite so deifiant!

  • Sorry, it all looks too staged and a hoax to me.

  • Apparently there is going to be a shift in government and if you have paid attention to what happened in Libya and Egypt you will know what i mean

  • LOL HEAD SHOT !!!

  • @pyrodownhiller it should have happened to you.

  • @benreilly5467 I'm not an anarchist first of all, second people have the right to protest yeah some people got out of hand but that doesn't give the police THE RIGHT TO THROW EXPLOSIVE ON PEOPLE, the way this was handled was way out of hand, hell the police in most of these protests have been out of hand, from the guy spraying mace in peaceful protester's faces to punching them... Yes some people can get out of hand but like I said it doesn't mean that cops can break protocol like they have

  • @benreilly5467 The protesters turned violent? All I heard was they were throwing small stuff like firecrackers and small fireworks... the police were in RIOT gear, do you think they could do any harm to them? And btw the way it was handled was way too severely, the law states that the use of tear gas, stun grenades, etc. are supposed to be use to disperse the people and to minimize bodily injury and such, yet the police were clearly throwing it directly at them, even by unconscious people...

  • @SuperAmericanBoy You're a fucking animal. NO ONE has the right to throw anything at ANYONE, shithead, who gives a FUCK if they were in riot gear? Do you hear yourself, you're like a fucking five year old. And they were M80s and 1000s you goddamn liar, and you can't throw fireworks PERIOD ANYWAY. Every fucking thing you just typed is a twisted mockery of what happened that night. Anarchist scum like you are ruining this movement for the people who are sincere and want change.

  • @benreilly5467

But people have a right to defend themselves. They are a right to rebel. Violence is what this system is all about. Poverty is violence, enforced by the thugs of the police state. The protesters are peaceful, but they have a right to fight back. An old Chinese saying goes, 'the emperor can burn down an entire village but the people are not permitted to light a single candle." We should not be violent, but if there is violence, we know who is to blame. Its NOT the people.

  • @Giovanni1972 They don't, because they started the violence. youtube(dot)com/watch?v=eHlHiNEZ1wA Replace (dot) with .

Again, you twist the truth, craft a nonsensical excuse for anarchists who lob M80s and 1000s, and essentially try to defy reality through force of will. You're garbage. You have no idea what happened that night, no idea what the law is, and have the reasoning capabilities of a five year old. Thanks for supporting violence and not the message of the protest.

  • @benreilly5467

Your link doesn't work. How could you possibly know what idea I have or don't have with what happened that night? You make proclamations are are obviously lies. You don't know where I was and what I saw. Seems you want to blame the victims. People fought back, its the right of self defense. They are not a bunch of 'Good Germans" to be silent while brutality is inflicted on peaceful people. The message of the protest is to end the violence inherent in capitalism. Police defend it.

  • @Giovanni1972 Lmao, "Violence inherent in capitalism" Give us an example of a capitalist nation that was violent. Hmmm, maybeeee Nazi Germany? Nooo... that was National Socialism... maybeeee, Russia? Nooo... that was socialism or communism... maybeee N. Korea? Noooo... that's socialism or communism... maybeee, Iran? Saudi Arabia? Iraq? Imperial Japan? The Chinese? The N. Vietnamese? The Khmer Rouge? Tell me. Are you mentally retarded or just EXTREMELY stupid and braindead from all the pot?

  • @mgsfan15

Try the US. Its is probably the most violent country in the history of the world. And btw, Nazism is a capitalist country, mixing it with a form of state-capitalism. To quote Chomsky: The greatest death toll relative to the population since the Holocaust was carried out with directly US support and aid. That would be East Timor. And the US remains the one country in in the history of the world that has actually used Nuclear weapons directly on civilian populations.

  • @mgsfan15

Also when I say that violence is inherent in capitalism, I also refer to the system of exploitation, of suffering and poverty---all of which is deeply rooted in violence. Private property is based on theft. Capitalism rapes the planet for resources with no regard for the common good. Its all about maximizing profits. That is what makes it an inherently incompatible with ethical values, and a profoundly anti-human system.

  • @Giovanni1972 Ahahahahaha, oh man. You are so crazy. Haha... know what? Since America sucks so much then GTFO. Just go. Why don't you go live in a socialist country if they are so great?

Yep, the U.S. has been pretty violent over the years. The problem is! People don't realize that when they start shit with us we're gonna bring the hammer down. And WTF is "state capitalism"? Is that like, capitalism where the govt. is in control of everything? Ahahahaha

  • @mgsfan15

Yes, state capitalism is one of the forms of this economic system of profit in command. The govt. can have greater or lesser degrees of intervention and acts to maintain a system based on organized greed, profit, and suppression of workers. The classic 'free market" version hasn't exist anywhere for a long time. All modern capitalist countries are 'mixed." Nazis defended private property, protected the wealthy, except if you Jew or Left Wing, or challenged the state.

  • @Giovanni1972 Capitalism is a system about the INDIVIDUALS power. There is no such thing as "state capitalism" you moron.

So have you ever had a real job?

  • @mgsfan15

Funny. So corporations are people, individuals, too, right? Individual power? No. Its about MONEY power. Unless you control and own capital or the means of production, you don't have power as an individual. You get to be turned into a wage slave to make the 1% richer. No such things as State capitalism? Then I guess the Fed didn't just recently give out 7.7 trillion dollars to banks, eh? The capitalist economy is highly dependent on State subsidy and interventions, hence the term.

  • @Giovanni1972 The state has been acting as a socialist one. Bailouts and all that crap is not capitalistic, moron.

SO PLEASE ANSWER NOW. Have you ever had a real job? I'm thinking you never have since you on't answer.

  • @mgsfan15

You are confused. Socialist is not based on maximizing profit for the 1% against the 99%. We do have a type of "socialism for the rich"---but capitalism fails without it. Marx showed how in detail, in Das Capital. The modern capitalist state survives this way, but it doesn't make it socialism. Socialism is when the workers own and control the means of production democratically and peoples needs come before profit, human rights before property rights. Its when workers rule, not cappies

  • @mgsfan15

By your standards EVERY state is thus Socialist? So socialism won out after all? Funny that the capitalist class is still in power and running things. Hmmm....

  • @Giovanni1972 Not fully socialist. But socialist policies. The crap that caused the financial situation the world and America is in now IS SOCIALISM. Not free market capitalism. NOW GENIUS, I'M WONDERING IF YOU ARE PARTLY BLIND AND DON'T SEE THIS. HAVE YOU EVER HAD A REAL JOB????????????

  • @mgsfan15

Not fully socialist? Well those are State intervention into the economy. You call it socialist, because think any State intervention makes it socialist. However, no actual socialist would agree with you since its devoid of CLASS analysis, the heart of socialism. See the intervention (the policies) are done on behalf of and for the capitalist class--mostly the finance capitalist sector. Socialism requires intervention to help the poor, the workers, etc. Big difference.

  • @Giovanni1972 The interventions are to benefit the government people who do them. The more you accept from a government the more power over you they have. They don't do it to try and help anyone but themselves and those who support their agenda.

And yes it does. Since you've never had a job you can't say shit about the system that you've had no experience with. You're just another lazy hippie who lives off of the taxes of good people through handouts from big brother. Because you're such a

  • @mgsfan15 How does the interventions benefit the govt people who do them? In a sense you are right. Wall Street owns the govt. Politicians are bought and paid for, so they do the bidding of the big capitalists, who further ensure that the politicians get what they want, to stay in power, funded, etc. This is how plutocracy works. Its policies for the 1%, and they ensure the transfer of wealth continues upwards from the 99% who do not get represented no matter who they vote for.

  • @Giovanni1972 You wanna talk about how the system doesn't work? So get the fuck off the internet, go get a J-O-B and THEN you tell me how it doesn't work. The only things you've described and pointed out our wrong, is the effing socialist policies!

  • @mgsfan15 What makes you think I'm not at work, and on the internet? What makes you think I don't have a job? Many people have jobs, but are still exploited. Unemployment (which is structural and necessary under capitalism) is not only problem of the system. What I'm arguing is that these "socialist policies" are not socialist but always been a part of capitalism. Your version of capitalism doesn't exist. Its a fairy tale, and fails, falls apart, and NEEDS govt. to prop it up.

  • @Giovanni1972 The fact that you won't answer the question, hahahaha. And the fact that you support these junkies. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "State capitalism". You obviously are a stupid, lazy, pothead hippie. The reason the economy is shit is BECAUSE of government intervention. Not letting the market react naturally! When the state controls the economy that is called SOCIALISM. Now please. I'm giving you another chance to answer.

Have you ever had a real job? Just admit it so everyone can see.

  • @mgsfan15 No such thing as state capitalism, right---so its all socialism to you. Doesn't matter if the intervention is FOR actual capitalists making profit, speculating, and for WALL STREET--its still socialism? Very weird definition of socialism. Again, no socialist would agree you. Maybe you should not be so quick to dismiss Marx who invented the term "capitalism." You maybe should employ some class analysis, i.e. which class benefits and which class is served. Hint, hint..

  • @mgsfan15 Oh and letting the free market react naturally will cause the system to collapse. Heard of the Great Depression? Capitalist competition results in monopoly, and then "too big to fail" so when they go down all of society goes down. Govt. needed to step in each time to save the system, hence all capitalism exists with state intervention, hence the term political economy.

  • @Giovanni1972 So have you ever had a job? Or are you living off of taxpayer money? I'd love to know. It would help everyone understand what kind of person you are.

  • @mgsfan15 Your obsession about me as a person is getting a little creepy. This is not a relationship online dating place! hehe This is not about me or my personal life. I understand your need to shift focus away from the arguments since your not making your case.

  • @Giovanni1972 I've tried to make my case, you pathetic leech. But there is no use in trying to reason with a braindead lunatic. This has to do with the argument. Since you never got a job and supported yourself you are actually a burden to the people you supposedly stand for. There are more people paying taxes that aren't wealthy than there is wealthy.

  • @mgsfan15

Maybe you will finally get what "state capitalism" means and understand that variations of this system is the norm, the dominant form of capitalism preferred by the capitalist class in power, who capture the State. To quote Marx, "The executive of the modern state is but a committee for managing the common affairs of the whole bourgeoisie." That has been the role of the Govt. Its saves capitalism and keeps it going for the rich, and its used to suppress the workers.

  • @Giovanni1972 And you can take that marx drivel and shove it up you-know-where.

  • @mgsfan15 Take a look at how the capitalist meltdown occurred. It was not due to govt. intervention but with less regulation, so they could be free to make greater profit, i.e. the repeal of various regulations, Glass–Steagall, etc Wealth got even more massively concentrated in a few hands: top 1% controls 83% of stocks, over 42% of wealth. Then it becomes unstable, and crashes. This is where the govt. comes to save them and keep the system going. That is capitalism. We need socialism.

  • @Giovanni1972 Hey retard, I'm done addressing your marxist bullshit until you admit you've never worked for a living. You're part of the reason the worlds going to hell. It's full of people who want something for nothing.

  • @mgsfan15 Actually you have it backward. If care so much about people working, and think that not only sums up their worth, but also determines the validity of their arguments (!), then I assume you are for the WORKING CLASS, instead of the capitalist parasitical class who control Capital and thus don't have to sell their labor power to live? But if you took that stance you'd be a socialist. If you are the top .01% you don't need to labor, you let your money work for you, i.e. workers

  • @Giovanni1972 Are you incapable of answering this very simple question?

  • @mgsfan15 I did anwer, and my answer was that it was not relevant what my line of work is, my employment history, my employment status, or any other personal things about me, since this is NOT about me. Get it?

  • @Giovanni1972 Lmao, Are you afraid I'm going learn your entire life story and all your secrets if you tell me you have worked before?... Ahahahaha

Go ahead. Ask me if I've had a job before. I'll gladly answer. Do you not want people to know you are a worthless hippie that lives off of honest, hard working, taxpayers money?

  • @Giovanni1972 Just admit that you are a lazy hippie that demands money while never even earning it. No system works when it's full of people like you.

  • @mgsfan15 Lets assume that there are lazy people out there, and that no system works when its full of such people. Question: are people born that way? I there a "lazy" gene that makes them innately lazy? Or is the system to blame? If they are not born lazy then its something about the society, and thus not their fault. If they are born that way, then its also not their fault. So why are you blaming the victim? Blame the system. Of course the problem is NOT people being lazy.

  • @Giovanni1972 Lets assume? Haha, there's no need for assumption. Everyone who's ever had a job KNOWS they are everywhere. Of course, you wouldn't know this though. Are you really that stupid though? The system doesn't make people lazy unless it's socialistic. When the system hands everything to people for NOTHING (just like you want) then they become lazy. But first people are lazy because that's who they are as a person. If you grow up and don't learn that work is important and necessary

  • @Giovanni1972 Then chances are you are going to be a lazy freeloader who would rather live off of other people.

So have you ever had a job? Yes or no?

  • @mgsfan15 FUCK YOU! You don't fucking know what its like to work 60 hour weeks, for minimum wage. It's not like I choose this. There's no jobs....

  • @1plutojones1 Lol, There is jobs for alot of people. If you are qualified and a hard worker, chances aresomeone will want to employ you. I work for minimum wage, and I'm not crying about it. I don't have a degree, I haven't gone to any kind of trade school, I'm just a guy that can do manual labor, and I do it. You want to make more money? Get more education. Work harder. Show you are worthy of more pay. You don't have a right to a job.

  • @mgsfan15

So tell me, where is there in existence this mythical "free market' capitalism that hasn't failed miserably? Name one. About your question about my job, its irrelevant. The premise of the question is rather absurd, as I tried to explain, since this is not in any way about ME. Stick to the issues, the arguments. Doesn't matter who I am, or what can of job I have or don't have. Its irrelevant, and a distraction.

  • @Giovanni1972 loser you have to find something to blame other than yourself for how you are. So bring in the evil business people. THEY are the ones responsible for your failures, it couldn't possibly be your own lack of ambition and work ethic.

And really, there isn't any free market capitalist nations that come to mind, other than America. You see, America has been an exceptional country because of the 'evil rich' and hard working people. Hippies just want to smoke pot and do nothing all day

  • @mgsfan15 What failure? I'm happy how I am. Again, this is not about me. You seem to fail to grasp basic logic. Please look up the logical fallacies I listed. About the argument, you said there are no free market capitalist nations but the US, but we already pointed out how that was not true. You said the govt. has adopted "socialist policies." I pointed out the some 7.7 trillion given to the big banks, plus other bail outs and subsidies--not for the govt but for Big Business.

  • @Giovanni1972 Your continuous ignoring of the question proves I'm right. You've never had a real job. You've never been apart of the system. You've only benefited from it and added NOTHING to it. And you saying the Nazi's were capitalists certainly makes it so! Lmao, I suggest you stop with the drugs. You seem to have lost many many brain cells.

And yeah! The govt. gives the businesses money and in return the business supports them with donations. That's not capitalism, you moron!

  • @mgsfan15 I didn't ignore. I pointed out the very premise of the question is based on a logical fallacy, and therefore dismissed it as irrelevant. An adhominin, genetic fallacy is a non-starter. Attacking the arguer instead of the argument means you fail. Get it? I know I'm repeating myself but you seem rather obtuse. Its funny that not getting the answer, though, you use that as 'proof" of your conclusion. haha! Really? Its called an argument from ignorance. Another fallacy.

  • @mgsfan15 If that is not capitalism, and that IS what is going on in this country, then by your definition, we don't have capitalism. So again, I ask you name a single country that is capitalist. You said the US, but now you are contradicting yourself. Which is it? Capitalist or not? It appears that there is no such thing as a capitalist country in existence anywhere in the world, according to your definition. So what socialism won after all? hehe Or maybe your definition if flawed?

  • @Giovanni1972 And also, you hippies are so damn funny when you talk about the "rape of the planet". Lmao

  • @mgsfan15

Hippies are back in the 60's by the way. A bit outdated. Not many around these days. :) I don't see what you find so funny about raping the planet. It is hard to describe the sense of violation and outrage that comes over you when you see capitalism’s systematic destruction be it of oil spills in the Gulf, or, mountain top removal. Once aw, winding, forested hollers are turned into vast moonscapes of ugly bulldozed waste — sprayed with grassgrowing gook to make it look green.

  • @Giovanni1972 Apparently the breed didn't die out.

  • @Giovanni1972 I mean, do you think you're funny making up shit? You think that for every moron shoving an iPhone in a cop's face there isn't someone else filming them, too? That there aren't people out there seeing EXACTLY what's happening that aren't going to point out when you people lie? It's fucking pathetic. You're so insincere and stupid you deny the dozens of videos and articles and eyewitnesses that directly contradict scum like you. We're done, prick.

  • @benreilly5467

I think you are projecting here. It seems you are making things up, and trolling. There is overwhelming consensus on who is at fault for the violence that night, and guess what? Its not the sleeping, peaceful people who were attacked at 4 am in a nazi-like storm trooper raid. This is not even in dispute by anyone serious. You like to use name calling tactics, but it only makes you look like the 5 year old, not others. It also is indicative of you being weak/no argument.

  • @Giovanni1972 Yawn. The protestors illegally camped, shit, pissed, and did drugs in Ogawa Plaza, were told to leave, didn't, and paid the price. Their sleeping peacefully is irrelevant because they weren't supposed to be there. Nice try though. Just thought I'd clarify for you. Now! No more responses for you.

  • @benreilly5467

Yes, that is right is a property crime to Occupy that public Plaza. Guess what? Morality is not dictated by legality. The greatest crimes against humanity were carried out under the "law." The robbery of Wall Street has been done "legally." The capitalist system is organized robbery of the world's poor. So we need a higher law: The declaration of Universal Human Rights--International Law. We have the moral high ground. The cops are thugs of big business doing the bidding for 1%.

  • @Giovanni1972 You're right about everything except one thing-the 99% doesn't get to break whatever laws it wants. And they were let back onto the plaza because Jean Quan is incompetent and is facing derision from the left and the right over this pathetic mistake. Legally, they have every right to kick the campers off, she's just worried about her poll number. She's scum, a lot of the rich are scum, but it doesn't give the Occupiers the right to be scum in return.

  • @benreilly5467

And they did the right thing but RETAKING the camp, the very next day. Its still occupied by the people. The price paid back was the GENERAL STRIKE one week later, which was a success. The people are winning! You are worried about crime? Then you should realize the biggest criminals are those who rob whole continents, and rape countries, invade them, i.e. Iraq, etc. The criminals are those who run Wall Street and profit off of others misery. The 99% will put a stop to it all.

  • Shame don't protest won't get hurt

  • @garytanya really? how about "don't think, don't get hurt."? even safer that way.

  • We know now that the "young woman" he's referring to was a "young man" Scott Olsen, who is an Iraq War Veteran and member of Veterans for Peace. If you're wondering how he could make that mistake, you've never been tear gassed.

For those who believe that protesters should have just "obeyed orders" and that this is somehow the fault of those who peacefully assembled, you are on the wrong side of History, my friends.

  • If he'd have vacated like he was told to he wouldn't have gotten hit. He can blame himself.

  • @benreilly5467 So the next time you go sit in a park and someone asks you to leave, you're gonna get up and walk away? I'm not saying you have to agree with the occupywallstreet movement but I hope you have the common decency to respect the tenants of our constitution.

  • @VikDAkinG He wasn't told to leave the park, he was told to leave the street because it was an unlawful assembly. Get your facts straight, no one in Ogawa Plaza would have had a problem if they weren't camped, shitting, pissing, and shooting up, amongst various other offenses. I agree with the movement, not blatant idiocy,

  • @benreilly5467

yeah! you TELL EM! go america!

  • @benreilly5467 Why should they vacate? To have to apply for a permit to protest is like saying, "freedom to assemble unless govt leaders don't want you to". btw 'sup fellow reilly. glad your name is spelled correctly

  • @TheFavorite95 That's not what happened and I never intimated that, either. The protestors turned violent and forced a police response that ended their march-period. As long as the protestors follow the law and don't act like fools, they can do their thing as much as they want, and they should.

  • @benreilly5467 Yes trying to help a wounded woman lying, bleeding on the ground, clearly he's a "home grown terrorist" how dare he try and help her! It's not like he was being paid to do that so why would he even try? He wouldn't even be able to charge her $900 for a ride to the hospital, so why bother? There's no benefit to him. Rubber bullets, tear gas and incendiaries for all with compassion for anyone but themselves! Hell let's just send the drones to do a fly-by.

  • @MrFoxCry yeah and yet a completely free market screws over lots of people without regulations, it's bull that so many companies get away with things and want less and less regulations.

  • I got shot with one when I was 15, Shit is fucking painful.

  • too bad it was rubber.

  • Why are there no citizens flanking the cops bearing rifles and shotguns?? Phoenix protests successfully kept the cops benign using such tactic. All vets within a radius of 50 miles need to grab their gear and head out asap. We can't allow cops to stifle protest, else they'll soon be kicking down our doors and carting off our kids to fema camps. It's now or never...Fascism or Constitutional Republic, what will it be?

  • @zpass05 Total federal tax share for the top 1 percent: 28.1 percent Hmm totally 38% off by 10 there guy, and for GE it aggressively avoids taxes even though the top corporate tax rate is 35%... check out the NY times Article entitled G.E.’s Strategies Let It Avoid Taxes Altogether... which are the strategies a lot of companies use to avoid paying taxes

  • Comment removed

  • This is happening because these people feel they don't need to work for their money instead want Wall Street to fall and the government to give out free taxpayer money. By protesting the "greed of Wall Street" (which is mainly there for people's retirement accounts), they are displaying their own greed by demanding money they didn't earn.

  • @joncmaxwell No people want their voices heard in politics instead of corporate money! Get a clue!

  • @StratoBlaster420

Well once you focus ur anger at the people responsible (congress and the administration), grow a sense of personal responsibility and work for what you want and get what you really deserve by working for it instead of being a drag, (in the general sense), then you'll be pretty much be a Tea Partier. We've been trying to have our voices heard since 2009. But I'm sure you just scoffed at us didn't you.

  • @joncmaxwell The Tea Party is a joke! That entire "movement" was started by Fox News. The true people responsible are the banks and the federal reserve institutions.

  • @StratoBlaster420

Wrong. The Tea Party started with Ron Paul followers. The idea was promoted by individuals on Fox News such as Glenn Beck and it took off on it's own from there. It's ironic you say the Tea Party is a joke however you must have missed a lot of information while smoking the joint. The Tea Party AGREES that the bailouts were wrong and the banks and federal reserve have a hand in it. However, only the congress can write the legislation and the president can pass it. Blame them.

  • @joncmaxwell Fox News is a joke therefore the Tea Party is a joke. This "Occupy" movement has gone global for a reason. My only hope is that you are a Ron Paul supporter.

  • @StratoBlaster420 The Tea Party went global and stayed global. It's also solid and not collapsing on itself like the Occupy movement is already. I am a Ron Paul supporter, because he supports all that you support with the exception of socialism. He believes in what this country stands for, life, liberty and the PURSUIT of happiness...not the handout of happiness. He has been ignored and will be ignored by the media until he is President. Yet somehow he is the strongest candidate. Get educated.

  • Mean while kids in africa are dying every 5 seconds.

  • @noelsoong777 Irrelevant.

  • @noelsoong777 We can focus on africa later after we can get the abilities to help people. We cant help people when we are stuck in a problematic environmental situation.

  • @5starGenAlpha5nake

I think he was trying to say that the people in Africa are much worse of than all the protestors. Infact, losing your job and other people getting paid more than you doesn't make you worse-off. Complaining about it actually makes you look like a whiney bitch that doesn't know anything about real problems.

  • @BetaDanU100 Yeah, i was just giving him a plan, for action on africa. I was thinking about africa like 2 days ago, how its all drought and no food. There are diffrent genetics for corn, we can find a way.

  • @noelsoong777 - What does this have to do with Africa?

  • hahahahahahahah

  • Why is this happening? sorry i'm not american and i haven't read the news lately.

  • @uliseto These hobos are claiming that corporations are becoming too powerful.

  • the arrogance of american! i'm reading some of these comments and you sit back mocking the whole situation. you mocked the riots and poverty in other countries and you did not think it would happen to you in america but now it has but you still have a lot that laugh becuase it has not impacted them. so selfish. this will be on the doorstep of every american when it reaches yours then you'll cry. get through your head that human life is human life to be callus is a crime.

  • @heckler171

America has been collapsing for the past 3 years, the only difference between the average American and those hungry people you talk about is that the average American has access to debt that allows them to live better, now that system is crashing as we speak and the average American will be no different than the average person in the third world.

  • @zpass05 here's some quick facts I found so far about large companies:

A measly $5.1 billion of GE’s $14.2 billion income for 2010 came from its operations stateside. Their total tax burden for 2010 amounted to zero. In fact, they got $3.2 billion back. <---- Totally legit right?

  • @SuperAmericanBoy GE employs over 287,000 Americans, that all pay taxes, I guess you missed that. GE's "net" income, was just over $12 billion in 2010, the company's operating cost were over $15 billion, that's why they got $3 billion back. The other money was spent acquiring other companies and researching new energy. The top 1% are paying almost 38% of the taxes, though they only earn 17% of the entire nation's income, which is down from 2008, which was 20% of the nation's income.

  • @zpass05 Although the top 1% are only paying about 17.1 percent of the nation's federal individual income taxes right? Whose paying for the rest of it? Also yeah 53% of Americans pay the federal income tax but that's not the only taxes people pay. Do you realize how much money large companies make, then get deductions and stuff b/c they outsource and have to pay no tax on that stuff? There's companies out there making hundreds of billions yet only paying less than 80 million in taxes..

  • Makes me wanna move to canada

  • Oh, poor you.

  • you people are ignorant. keep up with apathy and see where it gets you. foolish americans

  • Go hug a tree hippies

  • @MrFoxcry These people are not hippies, they are the people out there protesting to the fact that we live in a country where the wealthy people pretty much run the country and can do whatever they want. Do you keep up on the information lately? Studies show since the 1970's the top 1% of the population's income has grown by 270% while the middle/lower class has only grown by 40% you think that's fair at all?

  • @SuperAmericanBoy If the "1%" run the whole country, then why can't Michael Moore, Kanye West, Alec Baldwin and all the other celebrity "supporters" you have just change things, because they are all in the 1%. Here is some "information" for you, only 53% of Americans pay federal income taxes, and the top 5% of Americans pay 58.7% of all the federal income taxes for the entire nation. Your food stamps come from their money, so you should be thankful of the successful Americans who pay your share.

  • @SuperAmericanBoy -- You said, "Studies show since the 1970's the top 1% of the population's income has grown by 270% while the middle/lower class has only grown by 40% you think that's fair at all?" Okay smart guy, where is your report that the largest majority of millionaires in the U.S. came from the 99%, started out as "poor or middle class", and did so by creating businesses that employ others? Thought so.

  • @SuperAmericanBoy Hippies

  • the occupy movement will grow, grow, grow and grow!!!!!!!!!!!

thx from germany and JOIN Occupy!!!!!!!!!!

    i will!

  • Police are here to protect us, period. There is no such thing as non-lethal weapons, all of these have killed people in the past and shooting a guy in the face with a canister and not helping him while he's going into a fucking coma means are a worthless piece of shit. Dereliction of duty.

  • OKAY YOU SAYING THAT COPS DONT RISK THEIR LIVES FOR PEOPLE JUST SHOWS HOW FUCKIN IGNORANT YOU ARE. BYE HIPPY! GO HUG A TREE

  • @danyell415 There's a difference between using force to this extent compared to what the protestors were doing, research your stuff for example: Police are to use the devices such as stun grenades, tear gas, etc. at a safe distance to minimize personal injury and such... Now tell me do you think they are "risking their lives" by standing there and lobbing grenades + tear gas, and shooting rubber bullets at unarmed civilians? Throwing a grenade at near an unconscious person is ludicrous

  • FUCK YEAH CAPS LOCK!

  • OBAMA HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS YOU DUMBASSES THAT ARE HAVING A "PEACEFUL RIOT" (peaceful = shitting on trees and in public areas, pissing everywhere in public, screaming at law officers, throwing stuff at people that risk their lives for the people of oakland everyday) ARE TO BLAME! CHOICES CONSEQUENCES BITCH. AND I GOT WOUNDS WORSE THEN THAT FROM PAINTBALLING WEAK PUSSY BITCH

  • Comment removed

  • @danyell415 You had a stun grenade blow up in your face? I doubt that, wounds from a paintball are nothing compared to having something blow up in your face, the impact alone would do damage not including shrapnel if there was any. Yeah some protestors might be throwing some small stuff in anger but seriously those guys are in RIOT gear... was there a RIOT? Uh no there wasn't, it was a mostly peaceful protest so think before you type, guy.

  • fuck the police and goverments all over the world

  • HOW MANY SADISTIC COPS HAVE POSTED ON THIS SITE TRYING TO BRAINWASH THE PEOPLE INTO THINKING THE COPS WERE DOING THEIR DUTY? OUR PEACEFUL PROTESTERS HAD THE RIGHT TO ASSEMBLE-U.S. CONSTITUTION-BILL OF RIGHTS----I-Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

  • WE THE PEOPLE" (NO WEAPONS) VS. POLICE STATE (USING WEAPONS OF WAR ON THEIR OWN PEACEFUL CITIZENS)-SHAME ON TYRANNICAL DEVILS! MUSLIM KING OBAMA HAS FULFILLED HIS PLANS FOR ISLAMINATION OF AMERICA--OUR U.S. CONSTITUTION HAS BEEN MURDERED!--ISLAM IS THE ONE WORLD ANTI-CHRIST RELIGION OF THE END DAYS -DOMINATING THE WORLD RIGHT NOW !THE RFID CHIP IS THE MARK OF THE BEAST AND THE BILDERBERG GROUP PLANS TO HAVE EVERY MAN WOMAN AND CHILD CHIPPED BY 2017----WAKE UP---OBAMA USHERS IN ANTI-CHRIST!

  • When blacks went out and looted and rioted, the cops did NOTHING. When mexicans went out and rioted, the cops did NOTHING. But, because there are whites here, the first thing the cops want to do is attack them, just because they're white!

  • what do they expect? do they think that they can riot and the police not do anything? people are so ridiculously stupid

  • @Prestig3WorldWid3 When was the last time you saw white people rioting? When blacks go rioting, which is all the time, cops do nothing. It was done just because the majority of them were white.

  • @Jim777ism are you kidding me? that is the most retarded thing i have ever heard. it doesnt matter about skin color you fucking idiot. black people dont fucking riot all of the time, last time i heard about black people riot was during the '93 watts riots. you are a fucking racist cunt who is going to die a terrible death

  • @Prestig3WorldWid3 You are wrong, and I'm not going to die a terrible death. You come here and try it, bud! We'll see!

  • @Jim777ism how am i wrong? you will die a terrible death. i can promise you that, pal

  • @MrSuckmydck still there was no woman

  • Hey man, I think it wasn't a girl. I think he was an ex-military.

  • Cooool....

    Story. BRO!!

  • I sure hope his wound fucking hurts like hell, and never fully heals!

  • You can not fight the pigs on their turf! We need to join together and quit supporting the system. Start by not swiping your debit/ credit card. The banks take 3% from your purchase as a convenience charge from the store owner. Every swipe adds up to massive profits! Smack their grubby little fat fingers with an economic hammer. Move your money to a Credit Union NOW. Fight smart!! Vote this up to spread the word.

  • For those of you who are saying people should stop complaining and get a job... The job shortage in the U.S. is one of the reasons why people are protesting in the first place. Why should big corporations be the only ones seeing a financial benefit in a corrupt economy?

  • The cops asked them to leave to avoid serious injury...i only wish they had listened. peacefully assemble does not mean camp out with tents and sleeping bags and disrupting cities. I think what is most interesting is how everyone carry's a camera around saying they are documenting. the only thing i see coming from this is martial law so obama can stay in office and change laws without congress. I guess it's because they don't think he will win.

  • Good for the police, go get a job

  • If more protestors were as cute as this guy, I'd be out there picketing myself. ;)

  • Lies if he were hit with a rubber bullet he would have been proudly showing the marks.

  • @jlvia33 why don't you have a look at the picture that is posted of the wound.

  • @tr75out post a link please

  • @jlvia33 wow... look, it's Jesus casting stones and passing judgment on those darn lairs. He knows when you've been good or bad. Keep thinking like that. There may come a day when all those who stood up are dead or gone because the rest of us didn't stand up. Then they will come for you and there will be no one left to help you!!!

  • People need to actively resist and if that means using violence in defense of your freedoms then so be it....it is our right and duty to resist tyranny by protecting and defending ourselves, our loved ones, our freedoms, and anyone else we see being victimized or attacked by anyone (criminals, regular citizens police, members of military, elected officials) by any means and if that means we must kill a cop, tsa, official or any other govt employee then so be it.

  • I wish there was some way to hold these cops responsible for this crime.Plus, a whole lot of people's 1st Amendment rights to peaceably assemble were violated last night. The cops protect and serve...the 1%

  • @bullshovick001 they did not violate there first ammendment you need a permit to assemble me and a group of friends cant jus go on the high and stand in the midddle and call it an assmebly

  • @TheBic4 And that permit in unconstitutional. Unjust laws are not laws at all. They are tools to manipulate the general populace. The people have a duty to challenge any unjust law, just as our founding fathers said we should!!!

  • My friend sent me vids from her cell phone while it was happening and the police were calling the protesters MOTHERFUCKERS.

  • @cyclerecycle1 yeah the protesters were all nice an didn't yell at the police first calling them pigs and other names to rattle them up. it's easy to pause a recording and yell "FUCKING PIGS YOU ARE ALL DIRTY MOTHER FUCKING PIGS!!" police: "Please stop calling us *push record * motherfuckers"

  • god I hope she's okay. :(

  • If you want to avoid this in the future. Do what the police tell you and leave. The police don't lose fights. Morons.

  • @shepheml They don't lose fights. But they lose the wars.

  • @shepheml The hell they don't!!! Mid 80s, Huntington Beach CA. The police start beating on a 12 year old at the OP Surf Championship and got their asses handed to them. They called for backup which came in full riot gear. They had their asses handed to them too. I was there. On another occasion, I tossed up two cops who tried to attack me on an assumption and there Sargent told them "you got what you deserved" and called off the other three trying to subdue me.

  • Do we know the status of the woman?

  • The end is near!

  • It's true. the last 30 seconds of this news video on the KTVU website show exactly what happened just as he says, they grouped around her to help her, and the cops lobbed a flashbang into the middle of the group, and it went off next to her head. Youtube wont let me link to it. Go to KTVU dot com. slash video slash 29587714 slash index slash html

Look at the last 30 seconds.
