There are very few exceptions to this rule, especially for the four classes traditionally used in competitive. The most notable is probably the Equalizer, which you'll notice a soldier in this video uses to kill a Medic and a Demo at one point.

I have been playing TF2 since lauch too and I have no idea of how I can get into the compentitive side of the game. I do not know where to start!

There are no pub servers that gives my any challange anymore and my friends are WAY behind me in skill. Do you have any tips for me to get into the more compentitive side? Do I really need a team at FIRST or are there any onther way? :)

The use of an actual controller

Less lag

I notice some players from pandemic and some from loaded and so on are together now.

I recognize, TLR, relic, just1n, solid snake and i also see PYUUR on the other team.

I've never played MW2 and doubt I'd enjoy it, but I think the comparison between it and TF2 is kind of pointless. One's a tactical shooter, the other's more of an arena shooter. Granted, Valve take far better care of their players, but the games are too different to say that one is better than the other.

@Okuniix season 5 was half way through during the solly/demo update, so those weapons weren't allowed until season 6. Snipers, spies and pyros aren't really used so those weapons are seen much. the sandman and natacha are in fact banned, and the FAN sucks so pro players dont use it. the only alt weapon you would really see in season 5 would be the kritz. Which is awesome :D

@Marcination The shotgun is lethal at close range when playing solider, my setup is the same as him (RL, Shotgun, Equalizer,) Not because im "pro" or anything, but it's a very nice setup, shotgun is awesome for finishing people off when you are out of ammo on the RL. :)

I love the game, but there's no way I can play it at the moment. Oh and I hate the Soldier, which is sadly the most common class in TF2 fragvids. I had closer to 100 hours of gameplay on all the other classes, and under 10 hours of soldier when I was playing.
