everybody talks about africa but this is Portuguese music... kuduru from angola is another type of music , Portuguese Kuduru is Buraka som sistema (Buraka is the name of one ghetto from lisbon) its like house and techno totally diferent styles
Angolan people and Portuguese people are not friends. However, there is a lot of angolan people in Portugal, and a lot of portuguese people in Angola. BUT, we don't like each other, we just get along.
@nuriaarsenio "we don't like each other, we just get along" what a stupid statement to make... makes no sense at all, and besides you should talk for yourself, not for others.
Portuguese and Angolan cultures have a lot of fusion. Shouldn't that be natural? Of course Buraka are from Portugal, of course Kuduro is from Angola. In Angola that culture is absolutly fabulous. A new concept very bodily oriented.
Yes, it is, but there is a lot of friendship between both countries and their people. I don't want to relative slavery, but even today you have a lot of slavery, specially sexually oriented slavery.
@alsatian73 Portugal was one of the first countries to abolish slavery... after that it was just a colony, with lots of mixing between races, not like in south africa or other former colonies

Portugese music has no identity of its own, it's all borrowed from Africa. From Portugal to the World??? MY ASS. It shoud be "FROM AFRICA TO THE WORLD".
Dont say bullshits. Buraka som sistema is a portuguese band. not angolana or african band. and the portuguese guys made that kind of kuduro. is the best in the world. is not 100% kuduro there is some house and eletronic miusic. u know what i mean. african kuduro isnt like buraka kuduro. buraka kuduro is portuguese so from portugal for the world. not africa.
plenty2say you must be joking... learn about Portuguese music and how your people start playing instruments... whe already have great styles of music before whe teach you guys how to speak criolo, samba for example only became a style of music in Brazil, in Angola was just a rythm not a style of music...
Blues is also from African origin. Rock is based on... Blues. Metal is from England, but it's based on... Rock.
Brazilian Samba is based on SEMBA (Angola). Most things in the world are borrowed. Hawaians play the famous ukelele... in fact a typical portuguese instrument called "cavaquinho".
