Nice looking old radio, it will be nice when you get it done. As for the year or age I would guess that it is from the middle 50's by looking at the type of tubes that are in it. Great video 5/5 can't wait to see it fixed.
mystery wires??? sometimes speaker, sometimes antenner, sometimes phono input. Once I got a radio from a yard sale with a taped cord. The tape was dried out and when I took it off to fix the power cord, it was a DEAD SHORT, four wire connections as ONE splice! Fixed it right, and the radio worked fine. I got it cheap cuz it blew fuses!!! Also got lots of cheap radio stuff that did not work, just needed a new fuse! Same with stereos with one dead channel, blown fuse on the chassis inside!
