  • ill take my 1915-built old growth douglas fir true 2x4 truss-less house over these new homes anyday

  • Wow! Good eye inspector obvious!

But forget the trusses for now, what about the trip wires around the stairs and not having adequate room between the stair opening & the wall (aka: cut trusses).

  • So why no advice on how to correct the problem? We have always used rafters instead of purchasing trusses.

  • actually it probably started w/ a poorly designed house ... sometimes those fancy structural engineers forget to leave enough room for the A/C equipment in the attic .... and there has to be room for someone to actually get up there and move pieces in and out for repairs later.

  • That is just plain old fashoned stupidity played out to the hilt....

  • my dear lord, i am not even a quailified carpenter yet, but even i can tell that a friken dog cut them!

  • The person who cut these trusses open, compromising the integrity of the roof, is nothing short of a retard, for lack of a better word. I don't wish any harm on anyone, of course, but, I hope this roof fails on him, in the middle of a snowy winter christmas morning. And the snow dumps all over his christmas tree.

This stupid ass must have been drunk when cutting into these roof trusses like that.
