This is the Evening Primrose (large variety. Never heard it called a moon flower. They start opening in the still lighted evening and start to wither the next day. This variety is my favorite as it is tall and will produce a lot of blooms for a month or more.
i had evening primrose growing in my garden for a few years not sure if it will be coming up this year or not, plus it grew wild.for a few years i was wondering what kind of flower it was until i saw a pic of it online.pretty
It opens near dusk and it takes about 30 to 60 seconds for one to open. About 10 to 20 open each night on a plant and they all fade by noon the next day.
