When I saw this game I thought there would be more micromanaging like command and conquer status, the game came out perfectly fine, but Endwar 2 should have the option to command and to play as individual soldiers, just to make it a little crasier you know? Id be like Modern warfare on steroids... Or just a regular battlefield game :P

I've always been intrigued by how the box described it as being "voice-activated". I thought to myself "nah, can't be, it probably doesn't appeal to my taste". Then came Christmas and my younger brother got it for me. Figured I might as well try it since I have it, and it's pretty good. Makes me wanna put on my beret whenever I play this game.
Seriously Clancy is starting to annoy me. It is always good Americans vs. evil Russians. Instead of making US soldiers look like calculated and smart men, in his games they end up just being suicidal macho guys fueled by testosterone. Its always the same; from Ghost Recon to Endwar... the same story all over again.
@ComradeSap I don't think Tom Clancy is involved in making these games at all anymore. Hes used to be an advisor of sorts for the old RB6 games, the original Ghost Recon, and I think even the first Splinter Cell. Now he just stamps his name on the box and cashes his check.

you can mention numbers all you want but in this game all the factions have a major military so your real world numbers don't realy count here. End dispite the Russian advantage in number of tanks, not all Russian tanks are T-90's. Also, their amount of tanks is the reason the US developed the AH-64 and the A-10. UAV's are shit? they managed to take out the US RAH very well. Conclusion: they can do their job so they rn't shit. And ordered to means not use your head?

The amount of helicopters on the commanders screne were different from the amount seen on 1:02 which means 1 helicopter on the sat would represent a whole unit (10+) on the field. The UAV's however were seen in fewer numbers in the video but in larger numbers on the commanders screen which would mean they are the true amount.

I've played other strategy games and lost lots and lots of times, its not easy so in reality everyone sucks in commanding an army because no one is undefeated lol

@red244 from what I saw it was a long and hard fought battle and at the end it seems like they were massing so yea I do think that that fight was a draw cause that duke has a HUGE killzone.
@CrimesonWitcher You dont seem to understand the term of reserve. It means you keep a squad, battalion, force or unit away from the battlefield. Even if your winning you wouldn't send in all your militry forces.
Sorry but the fact is Russia without a doubt still had forces left and still will even after the kenetic bombardment (Not nuke), at their field of operations standing ready.
If they didn't then it was still not a draw, since Russia pushed their frontline up.

hey guys look im about to get the first endwar but i wan na know if the voice command works . Cause my dad taught me a lot of military command talk. Cause i watched x play on g4 and adam said that he commanded someone to fire on the enemy but then instead get shot in the groin and head.
It works, fine. But you can't use your own commands... you have to use the designated ones. but they have code names for locations and securing points. It's a fun game though overral. adam is a good reviewer but for this game they were a little tough.
There is going to be an endwar 2 I don't know too much about it but I know they're improving some of the things that annoyed people about thus one and they're adding some cool stuff. I also don't know when it's being released

yay, yet another game where the US side is always the "good guys" or main characters. and, in the game, US and europe are enemies in this war, US was invading europe. I just dont like how the western force (particularly US) is always the focus, or the good guy. Its a world war, every side is an evil killer. I think it's because people who live in the North American region will view the U.S as this sort of Protector and as American Influence and our movies and video games go through out the world people see us as the "good guy" while people in Russia view themselves as the "good guy" but in war there is no good guy just nations fighting over land, resources, and influence of that region.

I've always been intrigued by how the box described it as being "voice-activated". I thought to myself "nah, can't be, it probably doesn't appeal to my taste". Then came Christmas and my younger brother got it for me. Figured I might as well try it since I have it, and it's pretty good. Makes me wanna put on my beret whenever I play this game.

Seriously Clancy is starting to annoy me. It is always good Americans vs. evil Russians. Instead of making US soldiers look like calculated and smart men, in his games they end up just being suicidal macho guys fueled by testosterone. Its always the same; from Ghost Recon to Endwar... the same story all over again.

@ComradeSap I don't think Tom Clancy is involved in making these games at all anymore. Hes used to be an advisor of sorts for the old RB6 games, the original Ghost Recon, and I think even the first Splinter Cell. Now he just stamps his name on the box and cashes his check.

Did you take a good look at the amount of aircraft? shit for them the Russians had UAVs and those things don't count for an extra man because it already takes atleast 1 to control it.

The only reason why the General move foward was because he was ordered to.

you can mention numbers all you want but in this game all the factions have a major military so your real world numbers don't realy count here. End dispite the Russian advantage in number of tanks, not all Russian tanks are T-90's. Also, their amount of tanks is the reason the US developed the AH-64 and the A-10. UAV's are shit? they managed to take out the US RAH very well. Conclusion: they can do their job so they rn't shit. And ordered to means not use your head?

@EliteGhost001 lol yea and like you said did you see those choppers that were destroyed those are the choppers that the US made to destroy the T-90s also the A-10 Warhog aka "the tanks killer" we only have like 1000 and these are not meant to be efficient to air to air combat so if the Russians were to send out to UAVs again they would mostly like be destroyed, now your going to say we have F-22s but UAVs are more reliable since there is no pilot and they are more maneuverable .

However: I never said I'd do a better job. I prefer being on the field myself and looking after a squad.

Now you tell me where the general stated that he had to move forward within a timelimit?
The amount of helicopters on the commanders screne were different from the amount seen on 1:02 which means 1 helicopter on the sat would represent a whole unit (10+) on the field. The UAV's however were seen in fewer numbers in the video but in larger numbers on the commanders screen which would mean they are the true amount.

@CrimesonWitcher You dont seem to understand the term of reserve. It means you keep a squad, battalion, force or unit away from the battlefield. Even if your winning you wouldn't send in all your militry forces.
Sorry but the fact is Russia without a doubt still had forces left and still will even after the kenetic bombardment (Not nuke), at their field of operations standing ready.
If they didn't then it was still not a draw, since Russia pushed their frontline up.

hey guys look im about to get the first endwar but i wan na know if the voice command works . Cause my dad taught me a lot of military command talk. Cause i watched x play on g4 and adam said that he commanded someone to fire on the enemy but then instead get shot in the groin and head.

It works, fine. But you can't use your own commands... you have to use the designated ones. but they have code names for locations and securing points. It's a fun game though overral. adam is a good reviewer but for this game they were a little tough.

Because if he destroyed Paris, he would have killed his own troops. After the Spetnaz were done with them, he saw no other way of delaying them so he called in the kinetic strike.

its called stratedgy, y destroy an entire area when you have a chance to save most of that area and take it over without killing everything in sight? y not just nuke iraq, iran, afghanistan, and all those places and not cost the lives of our troops? its because of all the innocent lives that will perish because of it, so we need to take control of that area, and by using a nuke that will cause future harm to anythign in that area and the surrounding areas

yes i know about strategy but if you look at the video the city was already in ruins if there were any civilians they would have had the same chances of surviving and is not the same nuking an entire country than using precision strikes against an enemy concentrated on a certain spot

but think about the aftermath of a nuke, the radiation emitted from it, that travels around the world, japan today still has radiation from when we nuked them back in 1945, and it will still have radiation for years to come, u cannot settle in an area that has had nukes blown up in it, that is y nukes are generally held till the end, we try to save wat we can, and if wat we try to save cannot be saved, then we have to destroy it

for the second time if you play this game you see that the missiles that he fires from space don´t even have explosives the are kinetic strikes the damage is not caused by the warhead but by thevelocity of the projectile it´s based on an american military program known as ¨the rods of god¨ they thought it up because there is an international law that forbids nukes in space so there are no negatives

yay, yet another game where the US side is always the "good guys" or main characters. and, in the game, US and europe are enemies in this war, US was invading europe. I just dont like how the western force (particularly US) is always the focus, or the good guy. Its a world war, every side is an evil killer. And, if anything, the west (again, mainly US) is hardly more morle, or stable, are we forgeting its nuking of civilian populations (hiroshima) and urainium tiped shells etc.

Well first, Hiroshima was a means to END a potential NUCLEAR war. Would you rather have 50 nukes being fired all over the globe or 2 nukes being dropped on 1 location? And second, you are right about about how every side is the "bad guy" per say. Also in WW2 the Axis forces not just the Germans, but ALL axis forces were commiting mass acts of murder on innocent civilians. So you tell me, who was the "bad guys" during that war?

I did not get the full implications of your post. If you were comparing prison camps to genocide, there is a large difference. True, both inflict considerable trauma to the victims, but would you live with the fact that your nationality was being temporarily prosecuted for a military war purpose, or that your race was being SLAUGHTERED for the purpose of an insane dictator?
In the prison camp, you stood a high chance of being released after the war. You didn't in Germany.

It's kinda like advertising US' army. And it's usually the US that has those big game design, manufacturing companies. So it's not really surprising that these kinds of games are mainly based on the US. Hey common, at least you have a country in the game... have you ever seen Canada in any of those games? I think it's because people who live in the North American region will view the U.S as this sort of Protector and as American Influence and our movies and video games go through out the world people see us as the "good guy" while people in Russia view themselves as the "good guy" but in war there is no good guy just nations fighting over land, resources, and influence of that region.
