i was jus wondering if i joined the coast guard would i go to the academy then basic or is basic in the academy and when i graduate say what field i wanted to be in would i leave for the school i want to go to like a school or border patrol or somthin like that

I am going to have to respectfully dispute the claim made at 0:10. the coast guard is a fine branch, but the U.S. Navy is truly the finest seagoing service in the world. I've met many wonderful puddle pirates and respect all of you very much, but you just can not compete with us sailors. HooYah!

yep, class of 2013. However, I was medically disenrolled at the end of swab summer/middle of CAP week and I have a deferral to class of 2014 so I'll be starting again next June...only this time I will have some experience. How about you? Are you applying?

yes, i hope i get in. this is a college ive always wanted to go to but idk if i have the grades, 3.5 gpa and class rank 195 out of 435. ocean lifeguard, varsity wrestler, and im going to be volunteering with the auxils soon. so ill see what happens
