I didn't realize how much more powerfully built a Ridgeback is to a doberman.
My friend had 3 of them and the big male brought down a big buck with a full rack, by himself. Then proceded to eat his full -- it was awesome, I mean this is a domesticated animal. I doubt there are too many other breeds that would even think or have the "minerals" to take on a big buck to the kill.
My friend has saved several deer, but when the dogs go out in a pack for get it. To date they have 12 kills.
About hunting, I'm not hunter, but I'm very often in the field or in the woods, and if there is opportunity to catch something, my dog will not miss it. But we should discuss this subject privatly, if you interested, send me a message.
over here in Sweden they are banned to hunt deer cause they are too fast for them...deers don´t stand a chance!..one time I had a group of deer passing our trail when we were out walkin...
we just missed them by about 100 m but he picked them up in a flash!...he was just over 1 year then and I got realy curious about what he would do so I let him go when he had spotted the heard..I have never EVER seen him go so fast! he was on there tails in no-time..and then they had about 100 meters head-start!..that got the blood flowing I can tell ya :) I was a bit unshore if I would get him back but when I called him to me he came straight back..that whas very cool to see I tell you :)
why are people talking about who would win a fight, the video is about the dogs PLAYING not FIGHTING

RR in video is around 10 months old and doberman is 2 months older.
About RR's hunting skills, I'll just say that my RR filled my fridge with venison couple of times. ;)

Wow -- did you take him hunting or just chase him down after he captured it on his own?
What great dogs?
How does venison compare with buffalo (which is my favorite).

Im from Europe, I have not tried buffalo. :-)
