Bands have a right to make versions of whatever songs they want to. Usually, they do songs they really like. So think about it. Fall Out Boy isn't trying to "murder" anything! you know, I see some many ppl get angry at Fall Out Boy for no reason! If they cover a song in concert, it usually means that they respect the artist, and/or like the song. When they covered the Green Day song "Basket Case" its all because they appreciate Green Day. That was one of the reasons the band was started, because Pete Wentz wanted to make a band thats music sounded like several bands, including Green Day.
